Fantastic counting practise!
My daughter (2.5) received this for Christmas and we have to play it at least 3 times a day. She loves spinning the spinner (although is a little bit scared of it landing on the fox!) and has quickly gotten to grips with moving the mother hen along the spaces. It's a super simple game that practises skills like turn taking, moving counters and counting that will be beneficial in the future for more complicated games.

Loads of fun
An excellent game to teach your toddler counting skills and gaming skills. Good quality pieces and all comes in a sturdy box.

A Fun and Cooperative Game for Young Kids
Count Your Chickens by Peaceable Kingdom is a fantastic board game for young children, especially those who are still learning about turn-taking and teamwork. Unlike competitive games where there is one winner, this is a cooperative game, meaning everyone works together to reach a shared goal—helping Mother Hen gather all her chicks before the fox gets to the coop. What I Love: ✅ Encourages Teamwork – Since players work together, there are no hurt feelings over winning or losing, making it great for younger kids. ✅ Simple and Easy to Play – The rules are straightforward, so even preschoolers can grasp the concept quickly. ✅ Educational – Helps develop counting skills, turn-taking, and cooperation in a fun way. ✅ Adorable Design – The artwork is bright, engaging, and full of cute little chicks that kids love. ✅ Quick Playtime – A single round takes about 10–15 minutes, which is perfect for young attention spans. Any Downsides? • The game relies heavily on luck (rolling the spinner), so there isn’t much strategy involved. But for younger kids, this can actually be a positive! • It might not hold the interest of older children for long, but for the 3–6 age group, it’s ideal. Final Thoughts: This game is a wonderful choice for families looking for a gentle, fun, and educational game that young kids can enjoy without frustration. It’s a great way to introduce little ones to board games while reinforcing counting and cooperation skills. Highly recommended for preschoolers and early primary-aged children!

Super game for little ones
A quick and easy board game for little ones who are interested in their numbers and counting. Beware the pesky fox though - he can cause tears if they lose!

Ok but not very interesting
4yo played once and was done with it. I like the cooperative nature of it but you win if you get more +1 than foxes so it's all down to the dice.

Fantastic game. Engaging and fun for 2 years and up and not long or boring for mums and dads which is a bonus!

My 4-year-old granddaughter in particular loves this game, but even my 4-year-old grandson, whose attention span is much shorter, has had fun playing this with Mimi. The game play is straight forward, making it fun for any kid that can count. I particularly like how we all win or lose together.

Very sweet game. My 3 year old is very active and not so interested in playing right now. Hopefully, he’ll pick up an interest soon. 🤞🏼

for once a game where it is one for all and all for one. yes it is very simple but my kids (aged 3 and 5) love it and so do I because we play together no one feels like a looser. The characters are also super cute and my girls love them :)

Ottimo gioco per rinforzare i prerequisiti matematici, la conta e qualche calcolo rapido, Divertente, piace molto ai bambini. Utilizzabile dai 4 ai 6/7, oltre diventa un po' facile a meno di complicare le regole/imprevisti/premi ecc.
