An sich finde ich die Idee super, dass man so die eigene Kuppel planen kann. Dass Papierstrohhalme verwendet werden ist ja erstmal Klasse, weil es mir nachhaltiger erscheint. Leider halten diese nicht lange und sind sehr schnell durchgenudelt und keinesfalls so robust wie die Verbindungsstücke. Somit kann ich dieses Set nicht unbeaufsichtigt den Kindern zum Spielen da lassen, weil es sonst unbrauchbar zernudelt ist. Ich finde den Preis viel zu hoch dafür, dass man es schnell ersetzen muss bzw dafür, dass es „nur“ Papierstrohhalme sind. Ich mag die Firma und ich mag die Idee, aber es müsste einfach günstiger sein…

It says 6 years and up, but I think a small child would need help inserting the connectors into the straws. As an adult interested in unusual building shapes and styles, I found it entertaining. I'll play with it again to see if I can use it to build a model zome. It takes about an hour to put together from scratch.

I actually manufacture real DODECAHEDRON shaped dome kits. I am very precise in our manufacturing. The straws in the kit were not uniformerly cut. The directions might be understood by an engineer. So after FOUR HOURS of trying to make their dome from those directions, I gave up. I took everything apart I had attempted to make and within less than 30 minutes had built my own DODECAHEDRON shaped dome! BTW be very careful inserting the plastic piece in their straw. The fit was so tight that I had to gently push in the insert or it would tear the straw. Unless your kid has a lot of patience and knows how to patiently put together something, YOU are going to be spending potentially hours putting it together!

This would be amazing. BUT in no way is it simple to build!! I still can't get it together correctly. It is a great hub system but a nightmare to assemble.
