Does this come with controls? Does it have a close after n-seconds feature?

It doesnt have controls or motor etc. Its Door Arm only with fixings included.

I have an older type arm and have just bought a new ml700gb. my canopy door will not shut fully closed. will this arm cure the problem?

I have a double width canopy garage door and the chamberlain arm enables the Hörmann Supramatic BiSecur door closer to work correctly. I hope this is helpful.

How does this attach to the door please?

Carefully follow the instructions to fix the horizontal Rail and the Chamberlain Arm to the correct dimensions with respect to the top of the door. The Arm is bolted to the door with the activating plastic segment at the top with two pieces of steel dangling. Put the Trolley at the extreme (door) end of the top Rail then bolt straight steel pieces to the Trolley such that they are in a straight line from the Trolley to the Arm. You will have one straight piece of black painted steel from the Trolley sandwiched between two pieces of bright steel. At this juncture, you may have extra bits of steel left over from the door opening kit - these were for other types of door.

does it work with up and over doors with side springs

My garage door has side springs and the Chamberlain arm worked fine.
