Is this oil  only for german or european cars? can i use it in my '14 toyota venza v6 or dodge/jeep 5.2l v8(1996)? If not, which is recommended?

If you check your owner's manual, it will tell you what specifications you need to meet.  For example, the manual for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler says the oil must be API certified and meet DaimlerChrysler MS-6395.  Go to Google and search for LiquiMoly 3701; the top result should be LiquiMoly's site.  Go there, and look at "Specifications and approvals."  It doesn't meet MS-6395.  As for the Toyota, it wants the grade ILSAC GF-5 met.  Also, neither of these cars are recommended to use 5W-40; using the wrong oil weight can cause engine failure if it doesn't have the right flow characteristics (which results in oil starvation and failure to support loads correctly for the engine's design).Also, the people saying it's diesel-only are incorrect.  LiquiMoly's site says 3701 (Top Tec 4100 5W-40) is for year-round use in both diesel and gasoline applications.  If you even read the bottle, it says "FUR BENZIN- UND DIESELFAHRZEUGE," "for petrol (gasoline) and diesel fuel" (translation thanks to entering the words into google search).

Can this be used in petrol engine? like fsi 2.0 vw gti 2008?

As long as your vehicle calls for that spec.  For instance my car calls for 505.01 spec oil so when looking for oil I type in 505.01 spec oil.

Has anyone used this oil in a bmw diesel?

Yes I use this oil in a BMW 2011 diesel 335D in the Dallas area. Engine is most quiet mechanically of three different oils used in the past. Liqui Moly is a top tier oil made in Germany. Where engine and turbocharger protection and lubrication is required in extreme conditions such as we have here with the heat of summer this is one of the best oils on the market with the LL 04 rating.

What is the difference between the liqui moly 5w-40w motor oil and the liqui moly 5w-40w top tec 4100 motor oil?

4100 is for low ash application.  Turbo and or diesel.
