Very Strong Magnet!
For this being an under $10 accessory, this is the best bit holder with magnet I have ever used. I have never used a bit holder with such a strong magnet and it is just incredible. It really holds onto the screws and makes one-handed driving very easy, especially when up on a ladder or reaching up and abover your head. I use this on my Dewalt 20v impact driver and Milwaukee M12 impact driver and it performs flawlessly with both. This is such a good accessory I think I will go ahead and order a half dozen more, one for both impacts, and some to give to coworkers and my brother whom is always looking for a good magnetic bit holder. I couldn't ask for anymore of this, and this is the best item I have purchased manufactured by Neiko. The merchant I bought this from, California Tools, got this item to me in the mail 4 days before the earliest estimated delivery date. I know that has nothing to do with this tool, but just thought I would shine a little light on a great merchant. And btw, I'm in NJ and it came from CA.

Very strong magnet-great for topping out a wood building
I am a pro commercial drywaller.I normally use a DeWalt drywall gun, which is best for most metal stud commercial buildings. I recently worked on a wood frame school and wanted something to use with my impact gun for reaching up around ducts above ceiling (topping out) this has been amazing for that application as less force is required with an impact gun. I found that I like using it any time I need to reach and it's nice for exterior densglass as well. Now the down sides. It can tend to over drive and when I try to back it out the screw wobbles and doesn't sit well. Next issue is that it to easily changes the depth on its own. I used a sharpie pen to Mark the threads. Last issue I had was after I had it sitting in my dust filled tool bags it became hard to adjust so I used plyers and that was fine for a while until the threads totally stripped out making this useless.Bottom line is that it is good quality and I abused it for 3 months until it broke. I liked it so much that I bought another one and I am using the old part to hold the adjustment on my new one.

well built and works as a depth stop unless using a star bit
if using Phillips screws, this works just fine. The magnet inside holds the bit and screw very well which is what I like.I bought this to be better able to set the screws on my deck since the boards were extremely wet and I found that using a torque setting was not consistent. as each board was different and I had to be especially careful when driving the screw home. However, when I put a star bit in, I found that it would not release the screw and resulted in over setting (or inconsistently setting the screw)when I used a Phillips head and screw, it worked great.the problem is that star bits will not release the screw when the stop hits the wood and, what happens, is that the bit then starts to come out of the holder while the screw goes deeper into the wood.it was still useful in that it holds the screws well and the collar can be used a a "depth gauge" to help to set the screw but for that it is an over priced depth gauge and still results in inconsistent depth control.

Price was good
I don’t care for how easy the depth shifts while in use, the idea is pristine but would have liked a more reliable depth lock.

Leaves makes on the wood.
I purchased this at the same time as another model. This model does not have a rotating face so you get circular makes on the wood from the face spinning around as it makes contact. If this is not a concern then it's a great tool. I prefer the Smart-Bit model because it has a rotating face, but it also has some drawbacks.

Very helpful tool and cheap price.
The product works perfectly as should be, there is a misunderstanding about the screw depth adjusment, most complaints are the screw drives too deep into the wood, the user is the one in control how deep the screw should go in, the purpose of the tool is to keep screws falling from the bit holder, the screw depth setter tool is for adjusting how tight or deep the bit fit into the screw head then adjust the collar until barely touch the head of the screw then tighten the nut, doing that the magnet will hold securely the screws and prevent fallen screws, this is to set the screw and bit depth, not to control how deep the screws go into the wood, drill clutch should be adjusted for that purpose, hope it helps, the tool work perfectly, is only a misunderstanding of what should do.

Will not work for drywall.
I have hung thousands of sheets of drywall. This does NOT work for setting the screw at the proper depth. The hole is too small for the screw head to engage the bit without the bit extended too deep to properly set a screw. The theory is great but look close at the picture and you will see that the face of the magnet is flush with the rest of the face. Look close at any other dimpler or drywall screw gun and you will see the screw head full engages the bit and a collar lager than the screw head stop the screw from going in too deep. This could be corrected if the magnet was set 1/16-1/8" below the red collar. My plan is to knock punch the magnet out, machine the red collar deeper and drive the magnet back in because the magnet is super for holding screws to the bit.

It's an awesome tool to have
It's an awesome tool to have, it fits all sorts of bits. The adjustment piece was a little confusing at first. But the red collar has two pieces that twist tight. One thing I noticed while using it is that if you strip your screws a few times, the metal shavings stick to the drill bit, and then your bit won't fit great into the screw. So you just gotta clean it out.Other then that it's great, would definitely be buying this again.

GOOD but has a big problem for me
Magnet is good but cannot see how deep I m going with the screw. Depth adjuster siezed the second day of use. Also if you using the depth adjuster on plasterboard it will leave unwanted marks or scrapes, it need like a bit of plastic to cover the magnet part so its smooth. Never used it again after second day

Best bit holder
I would recommend this to anyone
