VC082 Versacolor Ink Pad, Black, 4 x 4 cm

This is a great product. So much better than other brands of ink pad I've tried. The ink is a nice dark blue colour and the pad is evenly spread with ink. You only have to press the stamper onto it once, firmly but not hard, for a nice even covering. It seems to be lasting well too, much longer than the previous one I had. The hinged lid works fine and is very convenient, saving the trouble of taking the lid completely off and having to put it carefully to one side each time. I'll definitely be buying this brand again.

The colour looks great on paper but it bleeds on the overleaf and it takes a while to dry the ink.

Really nice ink - got a jet black finish with it which was perfect and it dries down beautifully.

The colour is lighter than expected, doesn't smudge much which is great (using a 20cm stamp) but, I've used it to stamp 30 bags so far (for my small business), it's already becoming more difficult to transfer the ink onto the stamp, i have to press hard, it's starting to dry out already and making my hand ache.

My fave inkpads are permanent and pigment with waterproof end...…..these give me all this and more. Their pads soft spongy and filled with pigmented ink. Its oily and sits well on stamps of all types giving me a prolonged time to use them. I am arthritic and my hands are often a problem. I use these because they give me scope to get my stamping correct and then I set it aside to dry whilst doing something else. If using over paint as a layer stamp it takes a little longer to dry. If using over a glossy background or picture I leave it overnight. It depends on what your project is. If using on virgin paper and cardstock then it dries as it says......very quickly. I get very clear prints and also excellent coverage. I now use it also on gelli plates as block colours to stamp with and it makes an amazing texture, delicate soft and yet perfect.

High quality ink. I bought some cheaper knock off inks and you can tell the difference. the cheaper ones are not as vibrant and much more watery. if you want highly quality stamping ink, then versa color is the way to go!

The ink is consistent and richly pigminted. It's more of a cobalt shade than a royal blue, but it was still suitable for my project.
