Ben Franklin Toys Chemistry Lab Pad Science Kit

My oldest was so happy when he recieved this! He is my scientist so I figured why not.. He has has so much fun making his own experiments... He says it makes him feel like a real scientist! Highly recommend getting!

This kit has great presentation and makes for a fantastic gift for younger children. There are lot of pieces in this kit. It has a nice pad to work on, lots of tools and equipment to use. And you get red, green, blue and yellow coloring dye. There are 12 lab experiment cards. All of the experiments worked for us. The favorite item was the slime made from psyllium fiber powder. Who knew? There are a variety of experiments to do. From making "snow" out of polymer crystals, using vinegar and baking soda to create a gas that will inflate a balloon, making super cool foaming elephant toothpaste and forming gummy worms. The crystals made from the alum powder take at least 24 hours to start forming, just so you know to give it time. Needed household items to do the labs are : alum powder, baking soda, a balloon, corn starch, dish soap, one egg, white flowers, hydrogen peroxide, lemon, pipe cleaners, salt, vinegar and a yeast packet.

Gave this to my god-daughter and she loves this! Granted she is growing her mother crazy with experiments. Would buy for any child with an interest in science.

This kit is amazing and so much fun. There are still a few things you will need to buy or have on hand to do the experiments, like white flowers, vinegar, dish soap.

This product is amazing. All of the items are as described and the experiments require very little clean up and adult supervision. We needed very few items that the kit did not provide but most were household objects! My child is 6 and she loved the experiments as did my classroom. I love that the set is all inclusive and holds everything on the lap pad. This is a great starter chemistry set and I highly recommend it to all teachers and families who are doing STEM based activities !

Loved this product and my 5 yr old son loved it to, there are some very interesting things in this set. The only reason it got 4 instead of 5 was there are more than one slime recipe, and I thought it could be a little more diverse. Anyway, great gift for young child that is into that kinda stuff.

This was a Christmas present for my 7 year old granddaughter. She loves it and has already done a few experiments with my son. I really like that this activity brings the family together.

The kit is cool with lots of chemistry equipment. But the experiment cards that it comes with are duds. The experiments are not all that interesting and some of them do not work at all. basically going to keep the kit and use experiments from other chemistry sets.
