Winco FB-20 Fry Basket with Blue Handle

These appear to be very well made. Time will tell how they hold up. They are a smidge long for our Dean fryers. Some pliers on the front hook took care of that. They hang well and mostly fit in the basin. The price for the quality is impressive. I will try to follow up after a couple months.

If you are from years long ago or someone in your family is you will know what this Winco Fry Basket, Wire is used for and a tool required and necessity for a well run kitchen. Remember the big russet potatoes peeled and cut to the dimension of an old fashion straw to width and height…French Fries we would heat up your peanut oil. Carefully put your Winco Fry Basket, Wire into the big Dutch Oven of hot oil. We would Par boil for 4 minutes and lift the Winco Fry Basket, Wire out of the peanut oil onto a triple layered paper towels that is rested on a sturdy plate and we would turn the burner off. After 4 minutes we’d turn the burner back on and put the Winco Fry Basket, Wire back into the hot peanut oil in the Dutch oven and allow to cook for approximately 5 to 10 more minutes depending on how many potatoes you peeled and cut into fries…or are golden brown. We used three large russets …because if you overfilled the oil could spill over your Dutch Oven and then you would have a stove fire and be in great danger so we had to use our common sense or do not do this at all. BUT, if you do like homemade French Fries the old fashion way you will have to purchase the Winco Fry Basket, Wire…GREAT for fried chicken and so much more with this fabulous quality Winco Fry Basket, Wire.
