Good heat retention and nice-looking glasses
I've been using Bodum Pavina glasses for about 5 years, and decided to get a few spares to supplement my current collection. Unfortunately the design seems to have changed adding a silicone valve at the base of the glass. I gather this is supposed to improve the operation of the glass, and may also help with stability, but I am concerned that it adds an unnecessary point of failure in the glass. While there is no sign of this so far, I do now worry that water will leak into the cavity between the layers of glass. That aside, these are still high-quality glasses which do noticeable improve heat retention compared to a normal glass, keeping hot drinks warm and cold drinks cool. As the top is open you obviously can't expect similar results to a Thermos flask, but it is an improvement over normal glasses. The glasses do seem somewhat fragile, but I have yet to break one and continue to handwash them (not wanting to risk them in the dishwasher in case of clouding or water getting between the glass layers). They also look particularly nice when there's an interestingly-coloured drink suspended in them. In spite of the potential problems with the new silicone base I will continue to buy these glasses.

Versatile and attractive
These glasses are a joy to use. The double-wall design not only keeps hot beverages hot and cold ones cold but also prevents condensation, keeping your hands dry. They're lightweight yet sturdy, made from durable borosilicate glass that's dishwasher safe for easy cleanup. With a capacity of 0.45 liters each, they hold a generous amount of liquid, perfect for enjoying your favorite drinks without frequent refills. Whether you're sipping coffee in the morning or serving cocktails in the evening, the Bodum Pavina glasses offer both style and practicality at a great value.

Great quality and stylish
I was looking for some time for stylish looking double wall glasses to pair to my shiny new Melitta Barista TSP coffee machine and this 4 pack caught my eye as the price was great for the pack of 4 glasses. The excellent (and transport safe) packaging contains two large 0.35l and another two small 0.08l glasses. All of them are of great quality and are indeed very stylish as are most double wall glasses. There is sticker on the glasses itself to note that this is mouth blown glass and according to the packaging the exact material is borosilicate glass and silicone. There is one feature that is well advertised and that is the hydrophobic silicone vent on the bottom of each glass that seems to equalize the air pressure between the two glass layers with the outside air pressure… which should mean that the glass is more resistant to extreme hot or cold. Not sure if that makes any sense at all. My main findings about these glasses: • Design is very nice, build quality is excellent - no complaints. The exact model of the glass design is called PAVINA. • The small 0.08l glasses fit perfectly short coffee, however you should limit the coffee to around 70 ml to be on the safe side. • The big 0.35l glasses are great for cappuccino, but look empty when I use them with my usual Melitta Cafe Creme that is 120ml long. Just a visual issue for me. • Glass are quite light, more than I did expect them to be. The big glass does weight 183 grams while the small one comes at 64 grams. Probably it doesn’t seem so light, but feels like that in my opinion. • Due to the double wall construction glass only gets slightly warm with the coffee and that is not even right away. Overall I am very satisfied and I am glad that I ordered more than one pack which I will be gifting a friend to pair with his Saeco machine.

Super fragile minimalistic rather quite atrocious
I loved these when i got them 3 weeks ago. They were fine in the dishwasher, despite being made from 2 sandwiched layers of thin glass. However, I just handwashed one and, when drying it on the inside with a SLIGHT amount of pressure, it exploded in my hand, so £10 (£20 for 2) for 3 weeks is not a value-for-money situation. They are handmade, I am pretty sure, so maybe I got one with a tiny flaw somewhere in the glass. Other reviews mention damage in the mail, so handle with care ! (UPDATE - READ TO THE VERY END RE FRAGILITY) I may be imagining it, but I DO think that they keep your lager cold for a reasonable amount of time. And should keep coffee hot - but, bearing in mind para 1, don't use a metal spoon to stir. UPDATE - 10 MINUTES LATER - ...AND they drew blood when I cleared the shards up off the floor. For that reason, I'm out... UPDATE - 3 months later - ... the second one is still going strong, although I now AM pretty careful when hand-drying it. Fine in dishwasher, though. UPDATE - one full year later, and the non-broken one is still great for beer and even hot coffee, so I'm upgrading from 3 to 4 stars. FINAL UPDATE 15 MONTHS LATER - unfortunately, I have lost another of these - and a smaller one bought later - due to their fragility. I really like them, but you do have to be very careful about them falling over in the dishwasher, knocking against plates in the sink, and so on. I think I may get 2 more for myself (2 for £[] at time of writing), though. Again.

Very good. Excellent heat insulation and dishwasher safe. Take care not to drop them though!
These are excellent. They are quite thin, blown glass, with a double wall. They tolerate heat well, and you can fill with a hot drink and pick it up straight away as so very little of the heat is transmitted to the outside- far less than a traditional cup and less than the silicone sleeved mugs that bodum also sell. To be fair, you'd hope that would be the case, as there is no handle, but it is- the product works well. The glasses are dishwasher safe - we've dishwasher-ed them several times now and they don't leak water between the layers and wash up to look 'as new'. Beware any breakages though. The glass is very thin and if dropped is extremely sharp and fragmented. Don't ask how I know - but I was happy enough that I now have bought two sets... People who own both have said these are nicer than deLonghi's version. That's the make of my coffee machine and these are just a nice size for that.

Lovely set of glasses for cold and hot drinks
I have bought Bodum glasses before and they didn't disappoint and it is the same with these glasses. They're fantastic for a nice cold drink on a hot summers day, but come winter time they hold a massive amount and tea/coffee and keep it warmer for longer then a mug. I have taken one of these into my office to use and I get multiple people a day commenting on it. Pros: - Looks great - Holds hot or cold temperature well Cons: - Slightly expensive for two glasses!

Exudes Quality
I have bought the Bodum Pavina glasses in a couple of sizes now; small 8 oz for cold and mixed drinks; and the 15oz ones for making coffee at home. The pavina go against the standards for quality glasses - they are super light rather than lead crystal heavy. Being double walled they are excellent for keeping hot drinks hot and cold drinks don't bead condensation all over your side table. They are hand made so all are a little different; I have 12 in total of various sizes; all sit flat and all have survived multiple trips through the dishwasher. They aren't the cheapest glasses but when used for coffee your drink looks great; when used for G&T it stays that bit cooler for longer.

So nice
These are the poshest glasses I’ve ever bought lol but I love cups and glasses and needed to streamline all the random ones I have and thought I’d buy some decent ones. These are lovely, so nice to look at and hold, they are very light, and I love the way they feel in my hand. I bought these ones because when I sit at my desk my coffee always seems to go cold because I’m busy on the computer so I wanted something to keep it hotter for longer and these do. I like the fact you can see through it too and see the different levels of the coffee if you make a cappuccino or latte. It’s not hot to hold either because it’s double walled. I love them and I’m looking forward to using them for cold drinks in the summer so they will keep my drinks colder for longer. Now I want all the different sizes lol I hope my review has helped someone out there.
