I don’t have this book with me right now as I’ve lent it to someone, but all books by this author are absolutely excellent! English Grammar in Use is full of valuable knowledge and clear explanations. I highly recommend it both for people learning English and for native speakers who want to refresh their grammar skills. Definitely worth 5 stars!

I am an EFL teacher with 25 years experience and was recently asked to to teach English to a young French student here in France. As I am currently on holiday and I didn't have any teaching materials with me I immediately ordered a used copy of English Grammar in Use by Raymond Murphy. I already have two other older editions at home in the UK. It is an excellent and very accessible study reference with answer key for both teachers and students. No self respecting English language teacher should be without a copy. With the exception of Practical English Usage by Michael Swann , English Grammar in Use is the definitive self study grammar book in my humble opinion. It arrived much quicker than I had anticipated. It was triple wrapped and in pristine condition. It looked like new. Congratulations and thank you Shine wood!!

This book is an incredible resource for ESL teachers. It is the easiest to understand out of all the grammar reference books I've read, providing clear examples in each lessons, accompanied by clear timelines and illustrations. The way Murphy explains the grammar works very well if you're trying to figure out how to teach it in class; he lays it out in a way that both the teacher and the students understand. Lastly, the exercises are brilliant. They're varied, follow a clear progression, and serve as a great springboard for further exercises and activities. I own a few more ESL books but this was by far my best purchase.

Great service from the seller, as the book arrived the next day, and in perfect condition. The book itself is pretty much what I expected, but is a little on the technical side for me. I will keep it, but I was hoping for something that introduced the different parts of speech before giving examples and setting tests. I think this is a book used to support students of a knowledgable teacher, not, in this case, me!

I am from Spain and as a english book for me and for a lot of people it is the best. The blue one means intermediate level that in the most of the things it is where I am. According to many forums this books are highly recomended because they are very complete and you can find whatever kind of aditional information in the end of this book. I'm right now learning english in an academy too and my teacher recommended to me this book's collection because it is the best way to learn english by your own from your house. If you want the complete collection you must get: -Essential Grammar in Use. Although my english is a bit better than this level, it is good to have got it to practise from zero. -Advanced Grammar in Use. Amazing It is always the same method and it works. First they explain you grammar and in the next page you have a lot of exercices to complete. To correct it just go in the end of this book and find the solution. Product recommended 100%.

The descriptions of grammar points are done with good examples, and often cartoons as well, so it is makes difficult topics fairly easy to understand. I have found it useful when teaching intermediate / advanced students as an additional resource when a grammar point needs further clarification. The students have reported finding it helpful for their private study as well.

Kitap gayet temiz sağlam geldi paketi de güzeldi yalnız kenarlarında bi kaç ezilme büzülme mevcuttu sanıyorum aras kargonun dikkatsizliği kitabın içeriği çok güzel gayet canlı ve renkli konuları sadece gözden geçirdim henüz başlamış değilim ben beğendim belki içinde Türkçe anlatımlar bekliyor olabilirsiniz ben şahsen bekliyordum ama tek bir Türkçe kelime yoktu ki bu problem değil ilk sayfalardaki anlatım gayet kolay anlaşılabilir ihtiyacı olanların kesinlikle almasını tavsiye ediyorum ve bu arada kargo ön görülen ve beklediğim süreden çok daha çabuk geldi

Voilà un outil réellement incontournable pour tout ceux qui désirent se remettre à niveau en Anglais. J'ai travaillé avec ce livre durant une formation professionnelle de plusieurs mois et je ne peux que le recommander puisque j'ai obtenu un score de 815 points au TOEIC, en partie grâce à lui. Le bouquin est très bien fait, il reprend toutes les règles de grammaire avec une grande simplicité. Chaque chapitre est composé d'une partie théorique et d'une autre avec des exercices. Le tout est ludique et construit en toute humilité. A préciser que le livre est entièrement en Anglais, ce qui facilite l'apprentissage. Ajoutez à cela une pratique régulière de la langue (échanges skype, films, rencontres, club d'anglais etc...) et vous mettrez toutes les chances de votre côté pour parfaire votre Anglais. I recommend this book to anyone interested in English !
