Stays on windows well and does black out room. The hold could be a little stronger as it's only static (had a few fly out window when window was open) but good as a temporary measure when on holiday.

I bought this several months ago for our daughters room and it's done a great job in there. Today I decided to blackout the lower part of our own bedroom window so we could open the curtain and still have some privacy. I was so happy with the result and how easy it was to achieve that I felt I had to come and share. Super easy to install just rip a sheet off and flatten it down on the window. If you do it wrong you can just try again. The static grabbing power on these sheets is pretty remarkable and even though it says on the pack that you might need to replace them after 8 weeks, the ones in our daughters room have been going for at least 6 months and show no signs of unsticking. You can cut them up to get them to fit exact dimensions and there's a decent amount in each pack. I have used these in conjunction with curtains not just on their own. But 5 stars from us!

My wife was adamant that not a *chink* of light should enter our sleeping baby's room - wherever in the world we happened to be - this became a useful addition to our arsenal of solutions to the light problem. We had just moved to a new home and the nursery had a number of windows. So we decided to purchase the Magic Blackout Solution to add another layer of light stopping protection. Magic Blackout does a fairly good job at stopping light and on the whole and is one of the better solutions out there... believe me, we have tried them all... If you are passionate about blocking out all light in the pursuit of a better nights sleep and you own your home then do not buy this. Invest in a permanent solution. However, if you have just moved into a new home without blinds, shutters, curtains etc. and are waiting 8 weeks for something to be fitted, then this is perfect and gives good privacy and does a good job of keeping most of the light out. During the day you can peel it back and put it on the wall beside it - the static holds it in place. It is also useful to take on holiday with you if you are trying to bring an element of blackout for a sleeping baby etc. We have certainly used it in that way. However, over time the material crumples, creases and loses its ability to stick. We often came to wake our child up at the end of a nap and the Magic Blackout had peeled away in a corner or come off entirely. We ended up using blue tack which means that the product doesn't entirely do what it claims. Though, duct tape and blue tack are certainly magic! But for the money, and the ability to be used, taken down and used again it works well. If you are looking for a temporary solution or are renting, or are looking for another layer to your "blackout solution" then it is worth trying. We certainly got our money's worth and used it over a couple of years.

this arrived very quick, the 10 sheets are very good sized able to cover very large bedroom window, since buying it, still using the first sheet as the stick on to glass has not decreased in its power of staying in place, when not using it, i just stick onto the wall and back onto the window when needed, does the job perfectly to keep light out and rooms stays very dark, very pleased with this purchase, as i can see this one roll will last a very long time, according to how well this one sheet is doing. great buy. great product.

When I first put it up it looked good. It stuck to the window well, blocked out light and had a neat enough finish. However I had to remove the plastic a couple of times. Once it's removed for the first time it starts to loose its "stick". The next tim I put it back up it looked a lot messier and didn't stick as well to the windows. After taking it down a couple of times it became next to useless. In the end it lost all of its stickiness and I had to blue-tack it in place. It ended up no better than a piece of black bin bag, but much more expensive. Overall I would say this product it fine, although a little expensive, if you are putting it up on a window and leaving it there. If you intend on removing it and replacing it more than once then don't bother.

I took a chance buying this as I wasn't sure whether it would be up to the job. I'm pleased to say that i was needn't have worried. It does exactly what it says it does. Our windows are pretty non-standard so we had to cut the pieces to shape and it hasn't dropped once since we've been using it. We took the roll to the in-laws on a visit and cut some to suit their window too while we stayed. It does a brilliant job of shutting out the light. If we want to leave the window open, then we just pop a couple of blobs of blu-tak at the corners to stop the wind from pealing it off. All we have to remember now is to turn the light on before putting it up. Be gentle with it and roll it when not in use as it will start to show light at creases (our little lad helped us out by removing 1 panel in typical 3 year old style)

We bought this in an attempt to stop light making our 4-month-old son's naps difficult in the morning, since the bedroom faces south. We had previously tried a thick card concertina blind which works decently at stopping the light, but is a pain to remove to open the window - this looked ideal as it should be easy to open the window with the film attached and easy to remove the film from the window. In fact, it's so easy to remove the film from the window that sometimes the film just removes itself from the window after a random period of time. It claims to stick by static, and that rubbing it with man-made fibres will increase the static - so I tried rubbing it with this fleece shawl that is forever crackling and giving us static shocks, then applying it to the window. Result? It stayed on for an hour instead of 45 minutes. Needless to say, I am thoroughly unimpressed. The other problem is that because this is a product that's supposed to stick to the glass instead of being attached in some way (no glue, suckers or velcro like other blackout products have), you have to trim it to fit the size of your window precisely. The problem here being that if you cut the sheet even a little bit bigger than necessary, it curls up at the edges where the black beading at the edge of the window interferes, and this lets light through; if you cut the sheet even a little bit smaller than necessary, it leaves a gap between the black beading and the sheet and lets light through. This might be doable if the sheet actually stuck decently to the window and didn't slide around while you were trying to cut a straight line on it. As it is - as you can see in the attached photo - even with a pretty close fit a huge amount of light is let into the room and in mid-morning one could still read a book in there even with this on the windows. I'm sure it's great if you want twenty minutes' privacy in your caravan before it randomly falls off, but past that I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. It's the biggest waste of £24 I've had since our son was born. Other options that are easier and more reliable than this product: - Spray-paint your windows with black paint and scrape it off when you want to see again - Brick your window up and break through again when you want to open the window - Use construction adhesive to glue sheets of MDF into your window recess - Get your baby to sleep in the attic - Just use your curtains, they work better and don't randomly fall off just as your child is falling asleep, waking them up and triggering the screaming apocalypse.

This is the best blackout option that I have ever used. They cling onto the windows perfectly with static alone, no need for water etc and don’t slip down the window either. First bought for one bedroom and have since bought again for another. Great product!

Ich bin begeistert von der selbsthaftenden Verdunkelungsfolie. Sie dunkelt fast komplett ab und ist leicht anzubringen. Außerdem kann man sie ohne großen Aufwand abnehmen und sie hält für längere Zeit (Wochen) am Fenster ohne Aufladung. Sie ist perfekt für Fenster ohne Jalousien geeignet und ich kann diese Verdunkelungsmethode jedem empfehlen, der es gerne dunkel haben möchte!!!! (Zusätzlich kann man ein Rollo anbringen, dann hat man es Stock duster im Zimmer). Ich musste auch nicht lange auf den Versand warten.

En mi caso, he hecho una reforma en casa y, mientras estoy sin cortinas, estores o similar, para poder utilizar mi dormitorio manteniendo la intimidad y de forma que no entre la luz para poder dormir, estoy usando este amañito de lo mas ingenioso y eficaz en mi ventana. Decir que funciona a la perfección, oscurece totalmente la habitación, es muy fácil de poner y quitar, se adhiere al cristal de forma mas que aceptable por estática, sin pegues, ni tornillos, ni instalaciones complicadas, y resuelve de forma temporal un problema importante. Por poner una falta, decir que no es verdad que se pueda reutilizar muchas veces la misma porción de Magic Pizarra. Solo la primera vez se adhiere bien. Si las quitas, mejor poner otras nuevas que intentar colocar las mismas de nuevo. Un acierto, de cualquier manera.

Bonjour, Mon utilisation personnelle : Pour arréter le soleil et la vue sur la partie basse d'une porte fenêtre de bureau. Ces feuilles de plastique se "collent" sans problème sur la vitre. Si on change d'avis elles se décollent sans laisser de traces. La texture ressemble aux décors de noel que l'on "colle" aussi sur les fenêtres. Pas de problèmes. SAUF LES DIMENSIONS QUI NE SONT PAS INDIQUEES = 60 CM X 80 CM. Recoupable aux ciseaux. BIEN A VOUS.

I bought these black outs for my son who works long hours all week and then can't sleep on Saturday or Sunday morning in his rental apartment. He has Roman shades and they don't hold the light back. With the blackout blind, it is pitch dark. New room darkener blinds or curtains are just not a realistic expense for his rental and he wanted something that would not damage the molding or leave grease marks on the window. I really researched the product...Oprah did a review of blackouts that was helpful. My son just put these up (a static cling kind of process) and rolled down the roman shades and has the best of both worlds...nothing unsightly and the light is gone.

Zum "Wiederaufladen" einfach mit einem rauhen Pulli drüberstreichen und schon haftet das Ding wieder perfekt. -: keine dauerhafte Lösung (falls Sie ein Fenster für längere Zeit abdunkeln wollen). Sollte während des Tages (insbesondere bei direkter Sonneneinstrahlung im Sommer) abgenommen werden. Ist schwarz und heizt sich sicherlich auf. Und falls die Sonne kein Problem ist, dann fällt es durch abnehmende Spannung sicherlich nach ein paar Tagen oder Wochen von selbst runter. Anyways, aus meiner Sicht empfehlenswert.
