Eufy door bell needs a continous power supply (24v 500ma), can i wire this directly to the back of a 240v socket and feed power to the doorbell wire?

This transformer’s output is 12v max. It is not sufficient to power your door bell which you indicate requires 24v. You can however purchase door bell transformers which will give you 24v if selected. Such as Navaris or Evolution, as advertised on Amazon.

Does this provide enough power for the Eufy 2K video doorbell

If your doorbell works on 4v, 8v or 12v then yes As you just connect your bell wiring to the output required. IE If your doorbell works on 12volts then you would connect to the 12v terminals. If your doorbell works to s higher voltage then you will have to choose a different transformer.

Does this need an enclosure for fitting on wall if so any suggestions?

Just to say I put mine straight on the wall & then connected the bell, but I don't see why you can't inclose it to match your wall (you could use wood to make a box around it & colour it to match where you are putting it

I doubt this item could be installed outside as it is rated at IP20 which offers no form of moisture protection.
