I'm speechless on this product it's amazing. It's eye catching it's just a 100% must for your holiday just enough shade so you can read your kindle or play on your mobile whilst the rest of your body catches the sun. ( I don't like to much sun on my face this saves a lot of squinting and extra wrinkles ) Just got back from Las Vegas stayed in Luxor hotel that wanted 50 dollars per day for an umbrella round the pool. I didn't know this before my purchase so in 1 holiday these have paid for themselves. They are a real eye catcher bought us so much attention I could have sold loads everyone asking where we had them from. They are good value for money. Brilliant to shade yourself not others wanting to stay out in the sun. Wouldn't recommend heavy handed children round them as they are only made out of strong plastic & could easily be broken but brilliant for adult use & children under supervision kids could easily start using as a play thing & it's not a toy just a brilliant product you won't regret purchasing. Fully adjustable & pillow can be inflated to your liking very comfortable. Fitted in my hand luggage. Easily assembled both up & down. Just a very slight improvement for the makers they could do with putting a second extra piece of adjustable elastic strapping on the other end of the pillow to firmly hold in place round your sun bed in case of high wind. This would not put me off purchasing as it is something you could add yourself brilliant gift idea I'm back on here now not just to put this review on here but also buying them for family as gifts. I read all review before purchasing don't be put off by the odd remark about not being made out of strong enough plastic etc. You won't be disappointed everyone wanted them off me I had to learn to share with my sisters on holiday as soon as I got them out my suit case they was wanted my poor hubby never got a min with them Nothing needed for assembling them I took a screw driver on holiday as I didn't have time to read instructions. Not needed though nothing needed easily assembled as they push together up and down in 5 min. Go on brilliant unusual gift idea not just for yourself but for your friends & family they will love you !!!!! Can be used at home or holidays

I have had these for yearsh. They are brilliant! I take them every time I go on holiday as they pack down easily into a suitcase and are lightweight. I love these because you can shield the sun from your eyes but the rest of your body can be feeling the sun on it. They are quite sturdy but a stronger one would be better as they can break. However the company sells the parts really cheaply so you can repair it easily as each part can be replaced individually. The colour is vibrant and looks great. It is very simple to use once you have put it together and is quite stable as long as the wind isn't too strong. I absolutely love this cushnshade as you can transfer them to any chair or sunbed. They are good value considering the work that has gone into them and the quality is acceptable. I would not be without one and my husband uses one too and feels the same.

What a simple fantastic idea. how many times I have pondered a solution to the sun beating down on head/face whilst still wanting to feel it on my body. Not to mention the regret of buying kindle fire (screen glare) over regular kindle. So I bought this. I comes in a small carry pack unassembled. The pack measures 42 x 12 x 8cm. Inside is an assembly guide, 4 lightweight rods (2 of which have folding arms) 2 squares of light stretchy fabric and a pvc inflatable pillow. It should fit easily into most rucksack or beach bag. First impression it looks a bit of a faff. And I hate the inflatable pillow. Reading the instruction as any female would, it is a bit of a faff, so I discarded and worked it out my self. It is relatively quick and simple to assemble, it feels sturdy, the size seems right for its job ( 48 x 41 cm folded flat) but once assembled there were a few thoughts of how it could be better. I was reluctant to take it apart (if you have a large suitcase and wont travel far ie the hotel pool) there maybe no need to take it apart again. To do so you have to take the whole thing apart including removing the velcroed fabric squares and of course deflate the plastic plillow. If the fabric was attached to the main arms and not the fixing ones, it could be wrapped around for quicker re assembly was my first thought. The fabric is very light and tight and Im not sure on the wear and tear and staining (it is washable) I still hate the plastic blow up pillow and probably wont use it, will stuff a sarong or similar under for a bit of padding, the shade is the selling point of this gadget. But Im sure the designers pondered my thoughts also and had good reason to make it the way they did So I still think its fantastic but it looses a star for non perfection Lastly, the service. Exceptional. I ordered 3 days before my holiday and emailed the seller re priority delivery upgrade. I was lucky enough to live near the seller. It was hand delivered late in the evening. I bought an original Cush n shade years ago after seeing it presented on Dragons Den. It is a great canopy and makes sunbathing more bearable for me as I can't stand the sun on my face too long. It was sturdy, the material was thick and good quality and there was a choice of 4 colours. At that time they were advertising selling replacement covers. About 2 years ago I got I touch with Cush n shade to ask about a replacement cover as my frame was in perfect working order but the fabric had started to fade and fray a wee bit due to frequent use and washing. I was told they were not selling just covers but I could buy a whole new one from Amazon. When I complained that I didn't think this was very environmentally friendly since there was nothing wrong with the frame, I was promised a new cover free of charge by the sales manager since she had one "sitting in my office" needless to say that never arrived!! I did buy a new one and it is of an inferior quality. I don't know if the original inventors are still involved with the product or if they sold it on but I think they would be disappointed in the new one. My original shade would have received 5 stars, still ove the concept and design so gets a 3

Simple to set up if you study the pictorial instructions (I did it in under 5 mins. This has enabled me to sit outside reading my Kindle easily without getting screen glare from the sun. It’s also prevented heatstroke by shading my head effectively without wearing a hat that messes up my hair. The shade is very sturdy and versatile as it can pivot in a few ways to suit depending on your requirements. It’s such a simple idea and the best thing about it IMO is you don’t have to fiddle about screwing it onto the chair frame. It’s very stable, a great size and excellent value for money. One thing I’d add in any design updates is to allow for flaps at the side of the top section to allow for shading of the sides of the face. On saying that, I put a hand towel over it for the hour before the sun got high enough not to bother me.

We originally bought these about five years ago and they were great. We decided to buy two new ones as the fabric on the old ones was tatty and fading and the elastic straps had stretched to the point where they were so long they became entangled in the feet of the sunbed! Very disappointed with the new version. The fabric is cheap and flimsy. The previous version had pockets for the arms and cushion. They've now done away with the reinforced stitching for the straps. There also seems to be a technical issue with the orientation of the strap in relation to the cover. Instead of the Velcro flap being folded underneath the cross bar it is now on display and looks strange. It seems to me it was cheaper to reprint the assembly instructions rather than remake the cover! However, undeterred, we took the new ones to the beach. The resistance of the arms is much weaker than before and they are easily blown out of line by the slightest wind. When this happened my husband reached up to pull the offending arm back into line and it snapped accompanied by a string of abuse from him as it now looked like a bird with a broken wing and was totally ineffectual. Fortunately we had kept the old ones, so swapped the frame over. Will be sending back to Amazon when we get home. This is a great idea but has been rendered unfit for purpose due to a cost cutting exercise. Make it out of aluminium and slim your profit margin slightly- it will pay dividends in the long term.

I have owned one of these for Many years, and have mended it so many times, it had been in extreme windy conditions which stretched the elastic band that holds it onto the bed..also the plastic bars had started to go manky, I think sunlotioned hands caused this, well!!! I am delighted to see that the green ones are back in production. I have now bought 2 so they will last me for a long time. Here's why they are so good.. Light to carry, easy to put together, it gives me shade when on the beach, there is nothing worse than being on a beach with no shade, it is a game changer to have this little gadget in my bag to pop onto my sun bed and have shade when I need it..If your under an umbrella/palm tree your whole body is in the shade, and, it can be chilly, with this you can just shade your head OR you can change the angle and move it forwards and backwards along your body so you can actually shade your whole body by turning sun bed around..Another plus is you can always spot your sunbed on the beach..
