Product Description Second studio album by the legendary American grunge band. Originally released in 1991, the album has been been remastered and re-released to mark the 20th Anniversary of its original release. Regarded as one of the most influential albums of all time, it includes the tracks 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', 'Come As You Are', 'Lithium' and 'In Bloom'. desertcart.co.uk One of the defining moments of the 1990s, despite happening at the start of the decade. The guitars start jittering, then "BOOMA-ABOOMA-ABOOMA-ABOOM!", the drums kick in and grunge splatters itself all over a generation of MTV viewers. "Smells Like Teen Spirit" will surely always speak to alienated teenagers, while giving them something to thrash around their rooms to, kicking the whole thing off as it means to go on. "Come As You Are" is dark and twisted, while "Lithium" and "In Bloom" show Kurt Cobain's often overlooked sense of humour, and "Stay Away" highlights the best way to shred your vocal chords. It's nigh-impossible not to love this album, and it will remain Nirvana's most affectionately remembered work. It's just a shame that a misplaced sense of "selling out" (stupid term if ever there was one) led to such an internal rejection of "...Teen Spirit". A work of genius, no question. --Emma Johnston Review: Nevermind - Nirvana (1991) CD - Everything OK. Thanks Review: Just as described - Bought as a gift. Packaged well and exactly as described.

Nirvana's Finest Moment
Back in 1991, Nirvana were not really considered as gods of garage music, with Kurt Kobain not really making an impact on the music scene. This all changed when this amazing album came along, 12 of the best tracks you could find on one album, from trashing punk right though to more sombre affairs, Nevermind really defined who Nirvana was, and who they were going to be. Some of their finest moments are here, from all out rock of Smells Like Teen Spirit, through to the rather more thoughtful Polly. Some great stops along the way include the rather cool In Bloom, brilliantly written by Kurt; Stay Away, with it's angry guitar riffs and cool lyrics and Something In The Way, a sort of ballad. There's also the rather singable Come As You Are, with it's excellent plucked theme. This is a great album, and has to be part of the classic albums of all time, it's hard to describe what feelings you get from this, but it's good fun to dance to, talk to friends and even have on while doing the cleaning, that's how versatile it is. I think it's their best album, very close with In Utero not so far behind. Kurt's voice is excellent and his talent shines here, a real classic rock voice. This is a must have, even if you don't like grunge and garage, this will appeal to you, on many levels.

Great sound but WHY DID YOU COVER IT UP WITH STICKERS?!!?!
Amazing album. Well it's Nirvana isn't it so what do you expect? Great sound quality, and pleased to find the "secret song" was included. (Endless Nameless.) Everything was fine with the music, but some idiot decided to cover up Kurt's middle finger on the album sleeve with a sticker and another one covering up territorial p!savings. Quite disappointed about that. Tried to rip the sticker off the sleeve but it ripped the paper aswell. Territorial sticker came off easy. But the mark adds to the grunge experience, I guess.

Too Comercial ??
I have to say this is one of the best buys i've made of late. Not being from the era and therfore not able to view the unfolding of one of the epic milestones in music history this set is a must have for younger music fans. Granted if you are a little older and were around for it first time arround then this may not apeal. Also if you think its just a comercial money grabber then you wont like it (on this point I guess you guys should stop having Birthdays and Anniversarys too then??). What you can apreciate it for is the fact that its a great collection of Magazine interviews, Photo Shoots, Vynal Covers, Sleeve Inserts and other such snippets of history. As for the CD's, anyone who apreciates the effort that goes into making an Album will love to see it grow from the rehearsal stage through to the rough mixes and then the Platinum album. Overall it's a great buy and a must for fans of music in general.

A Masterpiece From The Last Great Rock Star
I honestly cannot see how anyone who actually likes Nirvana or rock music could give this fantastic, expanded reissue less than 5 stars. Twenty years after it's orginal release Nirvana's masterpiece is still as visceral, dangerous and exciting as ever and Cobain's songwritng as impassioned and essential. The remaster is flawless and brings out the best of an already great album and whilst the mighty Paramount gig, Butch Vig mix and the other rarities have all been available before as bootlegs, it's good to see them get an official release at last. The accompanying book and sleeve are also handsomely produced and are quality items. I know it's not cheap, but it's worth it. Sadly Kurt's fervent wish to be a star and spokesman for a generation (and if you're in any doubt about this, then read his journals) didn't bring him lasting happiness ; sometimes you should be careful what you wish for, but the music he made with his group endures.

I've ordered Nirvana Nevermind 4 times since oct 9. That disc never showed, that seller sent another. That one never showed. So I ordered another one. And that one also didn't show. Now we're end of feb. I ordered this disc from this seller a week or two ago. All the way from the Netherlands to Canada. No problems at all. It also seems to be the a print with the endless nameless hidden bonus track. A vintage BMG music copy. Remember BMG? Anyways. 5 stars.
