Jena 12 Large Foil Trays with Lids, Silver, 312mm x 252mm x 61mm, Kitchen

Thank you, Nigella, for teaching me that you don't have to spend hours scrubbing oven trays in order to produce a delicious roast dinner! These trays come with foil lids (I haven't cooked with the lid on yet) in a big stack of 12. My estimation is that they're marginally smaller than a typical (cleanable) oven tray, but with far less fuss and bother, really. I've only cooked once with these so far - a roast dinner that saw meat, potatoes and parsnips all go into the tray, and come out spectacularly well. It's a little higher on the sides than I'm used to, but that seemed to have no impact on the cooking and otherwise minimised oil splashes as cooking continued. Finally, once all was done, it was easy to gather up the juices and transfer them for a gravy - though to remember they're made of foil and, as such, the more weight in the bottom, the flimsier the sides will want to be! I'll put a baking tray under it the next time, to help support the shape when lifting out. I reckon you could get a seriously impressive lasagna or pasta bake into one of these that would easily feed 6 - 8 people, and with the lid to go on top, it would be ideal for freezer cooking, perhaps. I'll give it a go and leave a comment sometime in the future. For the price, I'm really very happy with these trays - less than £1 each, which I'm still pleased means I'll get to avoid all that scrubbing 11 more times.

These are great, really sturdy and great for a family size lasagne. Pop the lid on and you can take it somewhere, as I often make them for family. Used to buy them as Costco but handy to get them on amazon prime

The problem with a big barbeque is that you start running out of over trays to place your sizzling food on, and end up going through copious amount of kitchen foil to cover it up. Since I do cater to people with different diets and preferences (for example, aversion to spiciness), it's useful to have something I can easily pop food into and keep warm. Normally, I would go over to my local utilities shop to pick up some foil boxes but those have been proving expensive as of late. Thus, this set of foil trays and accompanying lids came to the rescue. The size was convenient: I was able to fit in around 45+ chicken wings and niblets in one, and around 30ish of 6" veggie skewers into another. I probably could have filled them some more but the foil was already starting to bulge and flex at that point so I didn't want to tempt luck. The lids naturally meant that I could seal the food in to keep it nice and warm (and away from some worryingly meat-hungry wasps). The price works out to less than £1 per tray, and at that size, it makes a good product even better (and meant that I didn't feel bad about using one for sealed ash disposal). I am most certainly going to grab another batch of these for Christmas this year! (It's August already, I can talk about Christmas now).

I was a bit apprehensive when I ordered this. I thought it might be too big. They arrived quickly and I was greatly suprised at the good size and depth. I have already baked a macaroni cheese in one and transported it with ease to a small birthday gathering. It is a great size and will be great when I do my share of Christmas dinner - as I am tired of transporting food in my good containers and trays and not getting them back. Update 9 Dec 2015 Yes its t3hat time a year for big Christmas cooking, I have ordered again as these are great robust trays. Arrived quickly until next year!! Update Jan 2022 Purchased again Dec 2021 for cooking. I have not purchased since 2015 as found same ones in costco for £5.99. Only purchased as the other shop had run out. Trays don’t seem to be as thick and sturdy as before, however still saved me on washing up

These are great! Ideal for putting the sliced meat and the cooked veg in on xmas day. The lids will ensure that everything stays hot whilst im busy preparing other things. Excellant quality and a lot bigger than i expected. Great,cos theres gonna be 10 of us for dinner and these trays are big enough for loads of sprouts!

I love these. They are great for freezing family size portions of food and great if you want to prepare meals in advance without having to defrost and switch to a different container. The containers need to be on a baking tray as they are quite floppy when full of food, but work well. The foil lids have a cardboard upper side, so you can write contents and date on it also. I am happily impressed, and will certainly be buying again.

They are very good size and were really useful for the purpose. And very sturdy.

The product itself was great for keeping things warm, needed it for a family party. However, the postage price seems massive considering the item was so light. I paid over £10 for immediate delivery as it was such short notice, then saw on the email sent it was second class post and then when I finally got a delivery date, it did not turn up on that day, but the day after. Will hold lots of food, but you need to hold underneath if the food items are heavy.

My party fave! It took me quite a while to find large foil trays that I can use for parties and gatherings because most of them comes only in medium. I find this product very economical, it can hold big portions of food and looks very presentable. It also comes with a cover. Quality is good and its worth the prize. Highly recommended for big events, gatherings or just simple barbecue parties.

Hab mir die Aluschalen zum Smoken gekauft. Sind perfekt für die 3-2-1 Methode, da wenn auf dir richtige grösse geschniten, 2-3 kg Ribs in die Schale passen. Wenn meine 12 Stück verbraucht sind kaufe ich davon ganz sicher wieder welche!
