If the question is does this brush cleaning soap work to remove stains from the palette, I can’t answer as I’ve never used paint that leaves a stain bad enough to worry about! I would be interested in the soap for cleaning my brushes properly though!

I don’t know. Only used it for Acrylic. Never used Gouache. I think they are similar so I don’t see why not. Acrylic does dry up quickly on this pallet- don’t think the lid is tight enough.

Does this work for oil paints as well as acrylics?

No idea if it works for oils. I found acrylics dried up very quickly and hardly use it. Good for mixing paint but acrylics dried up so quickly - I hardly use it. Pretty sure oils don't dry out as quickly as acrylics so it may be useful to you. Sorry not much help - I don't use oils.

Do I need to use sponges etc to keep acrylics wet ?

Hi there, I have 12 of these and use with my Art classes. They are the best palettes I have found all round. I use them with acrylics and silk paints mainly and they keep the paints wet and usable for several weeks just with the lid on and no sponges etc. Eventually they do start to get a bit dry if I leave them too long, over school holidays for example, but they keep paints easily long enough for most projects I might be doing.
