Detailed and thoroughly intriguing for a curious kid.
Very nice and detailed. My 5 year-old son showed interest in this, but I think it is suited for a child a bit older. The illustrations are great and there will be lots of learning done. I like how it can be used to identify rocks and fossils. The fossil section is smaller and at the back, but it is nicely organised.

Very informative. Bought for a fossil loving 10 year old, he immediately got his collection to find more about them in the book.

Good kids fossil and rock book.
Great 1st book for my 7yo who enjoyed fossil huting. Easy to read, lots of lovely images, not huge amounts of info on fossils but would recommend.

Great book for helping to make rock and fossil hunting easy and fun!
Absolutely brilliant book! Full of colour pictures with a good, easy for kids to understand section explaining how the different types of rocks are formed! Also has lots of little fact and info boxes dotted around as well as 1 or 2 little simple experiments to do! Good clear pictures of different rock samples and fossils!
