They are pricey, but they write very well and let's face it you would not get a Mont Blanc pen if you could not afford the refills. I find the medium nib scratches the paper and this broad nib is a much softer experience to write with.

The genuine item. If you spend the money to purchase a Montblanc pen, then it’s always worth buying the genuine refills.. a nice smooth action.
