TRS Kashmiri Chilli Powder 100g] (Pack of 1)

This spice is not easy to find in my local area so I normally have to hunt it down in specialist retailers. Which can be expensive and to find it online from a high quality brand is a delight. Kashmiri chillies are used a lot in curries and Indian cuisine so if you cook these type of dishes this spice is a must. The chilli itself is not overly hot but packs a really nice warming punchy flavour without excessive heat. It came delivered nice and fresh and the package amount is good as the spice goes a long way and too big a packet would probably end being wasteful. 100 grams will last me quite some time as I only cook one or two curries/spiced dishes a week. The colour of the spice is good giving your recipe a deep orange / light red The expire date on the package is 18 months after the date of the purchase, so plenty of time to pack a punch in your dishes. This spice is flavourable enough to add to other types of dishes that are not curries if you require a warming heat and flavour. This spice is a kitchen store must for most home cooks and I would recommend it highly. So in all when I purchased this it’s a good quality spice , with a really nice well rounded deep flavour without excessive heat. Nice and fresh plenty of storage time before it expires and a really nice colour added to your dishes. Versatile for a number of different dishes or cuisines , and it goes a long way. For a mild curry I use 5gms ( one teaspoon ) to get the flavour and heat that is ideal for me

Really struggled to find this locally, and being a huge fan of Indian food I like to use good spices when I cook. This gives amazing colour to curry, with a deep flavour profile and an excellent hit of chilli spice, adding amazing taste and heat. The quality of this item, especially for the price is excellent and I will not hesitate to order more when I start running low.

Great flavour and I will definitely re order

I've bought this 2-3 times now, and it's always been great. It's one of those that's in a lot of recipes, but you just can't get in the shops (not where I live anyway). Not sure if it differs much from other brands but it always goes down well in curry's :)

arrived promptly and though i haven't used it yet I find it's not as red as a different brand i had previously. Like recipes i suppose they differ brand to brand. I expect the heat factor to be the same . It was the bright red i was after this is more orange. however it will do the job satisfactorily. decent price too so i can't complain about that.
