This perfume L'Aimnt was a birthday gift for a friend. As Chanel 5 is no longer in budget, this is a good substitute. She loved it. I shall be purchasing more in the future. It is very good value for money. Maz

Oh how I loved the review by Bonnie Andy! So many of the modern perfumes are indeed stinkers!! Harsh and bitter and in some cases I have had to take a shower after trying them to get rid of the sour stink that develops after less than an hour of wearing them!! Sadly much the same can be said of what used to be good quality well known brands who have somehow, and for no good reason that I can see, mucked about with perfumes that I used to love and didn't mind too much spending a lot of money on. I am not the only one to say this as reviewers of other perfumes have said the same with gusto! My most recent purchase was, thankfully, only a miniature size of an old favourite and yes they have done it to that too! nothing like it used to be and will have to be given away (if I can find anyone who can stand it) My husband died just before Christmas and I have had some monstrous bills to face but wanted a little something for myself and, after so many trials of the "stinkers" decided to go for Mums' old favourite L'aimant and just like so many other reviewers it brought my now late Mum right back to me. Just a shame the one she used to use which was the cream version is now discontinued . A little black bottle which had a plastic paddle type thing attached to the inside of the lid and the contents were a pretty pink cream which I used to pinch a tiny spot of every now and then when I was a little girl (She always knew I had done it!) The only one of this type I could find is on a well known auction site and priced at £55!! It is now classed a rare classic, a bit too rare for my purse!! Anyway my order of the one here arrived today and having had it on for a couple of hours I don't feel the need to rush off to the shower or put in a bid for a gas mask and my only reason for 4 stars is the lack of cellophane wrapping on the box, yes paranoid I know but this sort of thing always makes me wonder if someone may have had a squirt or two out of my bottle. Other than that I am a happy bunny and may even think of buying some of the talc too.

Bought for my 86 year old mother in law and she loves this perfume. Not my cut of tea, but I guess it's a generation thing. It's an old fashioned perfume and very much up her street. She asked me to get her a cheap perfume, and this is very good value for money.
