How do you get the red text to stop displaying when you are watching tv (e.g., Arc)?

There is no option to turn the display off unless the unit is off. Would have been a nice option for sure.

How many watts is this like 100 watts?

I'm sorry, I couldn't find it in the literature or on the box. I can tell you this though, it's too loud for me at volume number 25 and it goes up to 32. My husband has tinnitus so he needs it louder and the sound is better than any other soundbar I have had including an expensive one for the hearing impaired. Hope this helps.

Where is the red text messages people refer to that cannot be tirned off?

I think they might be referring to the red lights on the front of the bar. It doesn't turn off on its own, but if you use the power button, it reduces to just 2 little red lights.
