How do I use this in combination with the paper filter?

Use a size 4 paper filter in the cone, add ground coffee, I usually use 2 flat coffee measuring spoonfuls for a large mug, sit it on the mug, pour in hot water (just off the boil) from the kettle, and allow to drain through into the mug. I also swill the mug out beforehand with boiling water to heat the mug up. Then enjoy with a gluten free choc brownie!! Perfect!!

I am looking for the dimensions of the part that sits on the rim of the coffee mug. Our mugs are 9.5 cm. Any comments anyone?

My cone would fit a mug of 9.5cm, the outside lip of the bit that sits on the cup is 11.2cm wide. Regards Rich

Which filters would you recommend? What size as product says size 2 but Amazon‘frequently bought together’ is recommending 4?

Size 2 filters fit. This is a small coffee filter, perfect for making one cup/mug at a time. If you want to make enough for 2 or more people I'd recommend buying the larger size coffee filter which fits size 4 paper filters.

What is the diameter of the inner circle on the bottom of the filter? I plan on using it to filter into a small jug so it needs to fit that.

I haven't actually measured it, but having used them for a long time, in many countries, even the quite small vacuum jugs were OK. The main thing is that the top of the jug must be flat so that the cone has an even surface to rest on.
