i have just bought new ink cartriges and i printed 3 x a4 pictures and now it is showing only 25% ink left i thought the ionk would last longer

I use my printer a lot and have spent hundreds of pounds over the last 10 years on ink. I always use original HP cartridges. Whilst the high yield cartridges are better value for money than the standard ones I have discovered a way to save myself a lot of cash. I enrolled in the HP Instant Ink program about 18 months ago and cannot recommend it highly enough. I pay 7.99 a month for 300 pages, there are other plans for more or less pages. If I don't use all of my allocation they roll over to the next month and the next month. The beauty of the plan is that all pages count the same, it doesn't matter if they are full colour photos or plain black text, draft or high quality. If you have a wireless printer as I do, it is connected online to HP and and the system keeps track of pages used but more importantly the ink levels. Ink shipment is automatic and is designed so that you never run out of ink. I have printed 2420 A4 pages in the last 12 months and my plan has cost me just under 96 quid and I still have 160 pages plus 6oo rollover pages in the bank so to speak so it is a no brainer.
