Nice gadget
We use this for measuring tennis serve speeds. It’s good value and goes the job well. I particularly like the voice, because the screen cannot be seen in the sun.

Ideal for tennis club.
We bought this for a fastest tennis serve competition at our village fete. It was a fund raising event and paid for itself quite quickly. Accuracy wasn't that important but it seemed to be pretty good. It is easy to operate and was used for five hours non stop so doesn't eat batteries. Perfect for what we wanted.

It was good while it worked
This product has stopped working after 6 months. It now randomly flashes up speeds without any movement in front of it. It was good while it worked. Could you advise on how to get a refund or replacement please Amazon?

Drains batteries fast
Not very good value for money doesn't hold battery life for long, only get a short time of use before it's dead. Took it to 2 training sessions, in 22 weeks, both times times on new batteries, both times stopped working after a short period. Just sits in the garage now un-used. Wish I hadn't bought it. It is good when it works and fun for the kids, but my whole experience with it is disappointing

Not accurate
Tried this for months and compared it against the reliable trackman for golf and the club head speed is no where near the trackman as it varies from 2% to 65% difference. Waste of money.

Works ok
Lets face it for £64 it is never going to be an all singing all dancing product. You do have to trial and error a bit to find the most suitable sweet spot to pick up the speed but once you have it works fine and consistently. ~Bearing in mind it picks up the speed as the ball approaches rather than when it leaves the players hand the speed will be less than those guns that measure the speed at time of release. It is not priced or designed as a professional sporting aid so don't expect it to be but if you want to see how quick you or your family and friends are at bowling/throwing etc. it does the job fine.

Really Good
If you need a sports speed gun this could be the one for you. YouTube offer some excellent set up suggestions too

Excellent
Excellent performance, and at a £1 for two attempts on a fun day, we made over £250 - paid for itself, job done ! Easy to use, very clear, good features including memory storage - doesn't chew up too many batteries either

The placement matters so do spend a brief time reading the menu. It's very clear w/ illustrations. I applied the suggested way for tennis to pingpong. It worked! (Just FYI. The world-class pingpong players' loops may be as fast as 70 mph, equivalent to tennis at 200 mph in terms of response time, i.e. no time moving the feet.) UPDATE: The other review from UK points out that the speed radar appears to measure the speed at the point "the object" going over it and thus for tennis it would show the speed when it's over the net, which might be only 2/3 of the speed when the ball leaves the racket. I thus tried it out with pingpong as the attached video. This time I measured my high-percentage shots, consistently around 35 mph when measured at the net (please excuse the mirror image in the video). The measured speed dropped by some 10mph if at the table end. Unfortunately it didn't work when I tried to place it close to the point of contact. The readings were just too erratic. As the last shot in the video shows, the reading could be off, if the ball hit it, probably getting the speed of bouncing off. Anyway, it's good for self training.

Works great. Kids love it

Cumple con el objetivo de medir la velocidad, en mi caso lo use para tenis, solo que se debe colocar de forma correcta a la trayectoria de la bola, de lo contrario la medición no es correcta. Calidad precio excelente!

Kanske fungerar i vissa tillämpningar. Hastigheten på golfsvingen kan du glömma. Reagerar för det mesta redan när du börjar föra klubbhuvudet bakåt, om den nu reagerar alls.
