I made the mistake of putting too much Superglue on my health wrist bracelet’s magnetic clasp. This meant once closed it wouldn’t reopen. Having an X-ray scheduled I need to remove it. I didn’t want to cut it off, so bought this de-bonder hoping it would release the clasp, and it did. Really happy, got the bracelet off and it’s still usable. Recommended.

Never de-bonded anything before getting this and I have to say I was nicely surprised. I managed to remove/clean up specialist leather glue, and initially the surface was left with a suede like feel, but that disappeared after a few days.

Works most of the time. I'm always getting superglue on my fingers and I hate the feeling of it that I can't stop scrubbing and picking until it's gone, which is why I got this. I have found that just putting it on and leaving it for 30 seconds like suggested, it does get rid of the glue but you may need to apply more than once. This hasn't worked very reliably on surfaces for me though, say you get a drop on your desk and haven't noticed it until it's already dried (a few hours later, or longer) then it doesn't get rid of it. I'm not sure if it's supposed to, though. If you do it immediately or pretty soon afterwards though, it does at least reduce the residue of it even if it doesn't get rid of the whole lump of glue.

Follow the instructions ,wear gloves, this is acetone based, and have a cotton bud handy. Do in well lit area, and leave for 15 -20 seconds, wipe with cotton bud, and dry tissue ...does the job on glass

Disappointed dosnt work

Needs perseverance to work, but it does work. I needed to remove some blobs of superglue that had been spilled on a worktop and oven. It removes a small amount of the glue every time it is applied until all the glue has gone. I applied the remover and left it for several minutes, wiped it off and repeated the exercise, It took 10 -20 applications to totally remove the glue but eventually all the glue has gone.

This worked well. I think the individuals leaving negative reviews either expected miracles or did not persevere. This does not work like magic but it does work. You need to use this in conjunction with a scraper in order to remove the glue bit by bit. I had a 2x2cm cyanoacrylate super glue blob on my finished wood kitchen table. I spread a layer of the de bonder over the glue and waited for 5-10 mins, then used a plastic scraper to remove a layer of glue, then wiped off the residue and repeated this a few times before it fully came off. It is not magic, it can only remove a small layer at a time. All in all, took about 30 mins to remove. As it says, make sure to test the de bonder on an inconspicuous part of the surface first. I used this on finished oak and when left on for ten minutes you see a really slight discolouration, so don’t leave it on any longer than it needs to be left on. Take it slowly, bit by bit.

Outstanding de-bonding without being harsh on plastics or resins.

I needed to repair eyeglasses that kept coming apart and tried to use crazy glue. The repair is certainly holding, but, being a klutz, I got rather a streak of it on the plastic lens. This product was excellent -- it easily removed the glue with no damage at all to the plastic. Since crazy glue gets a real workout at our house, I will be sure always to have this on hand in future. Really does a great job.
