Ryan Merriman, Alexz Johnson, Chelan Simmons also star. 93 min. C/Rtg: R The Final Destination (2009)Was it dark fate at work when the decision was made to mount this fourth (and "final"?) installment in the bone-chilling franchise that launched with the 2000 shocker "Final Destination"? Death-Defying Films
'Final Destination' is a horror thriller about teenager Alex who is able to sense and see death. When on a plane trip to Paris with his school class, he is able to sense that the plane is going to crash so he and some other students get of the plane only to find out that Alex was right and the plane does crash. Days later, their death starts to catch up with them killing them all one by one. This film wasn't anything special but it was highly enjoyable and exciting from beginning to end. This first instalment does look a little old fashioned but the picture and sound quality were good and the special effects still looked realistic today. However, I did find the film very predicable and it is rather slow paced unlike its sequels. It also has the least interesting death scenes in the franchise. This first film is the weakest in the franchise for me. 'Final Destination 2' is an excellent sequel which is much better than the original. In this next instalment, teenager Kimberley has a vision which lets her see death and this then stops her and a bunch of other people from being killed in a motorway accident. Days later, deaths starts to kill them one by one. Not many horror sequels improve in their sequel but this was absolutely fantastic and makes the original look poor. The characters in this film are a lot more likable and interesting, and its nice to see Clear Rivers return. The death scenes are also more exciting and gorier and they look much more realistic. The ending was a little confusing and silly but this didn't ruin the rest of this fantastic sequel. 'Final Destination 3' is not quite as good as the second film but it is still better than the original. The story is pretty much the same as the previous two but with different death scenes and characters. Wendy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) is our main heroine in this instalment who plays the teenage girl who experiences a vision of the roller-coaster coming off the rails and causing everyone's death. She and some other people mange to get off, but days later death starts killing them one by one. The death scenes themselves were more gorier, funnier and more inventive then the previous two. The main downside to this film is the silly twisted ending which ends on a cliffhanger which ends the film in a very rushed and stupid way. But other than that, this is still an excellent third instalment just let down by the ending. 'The Final Destination' is the fourth instalment in the franchise. The film starts off at a racing track where Nick and his friends are watching race cars speed around the track. Nick later has a vison that they are all going to die there but luckily he manages to get his friends and other people out just in time this actually does come true. And days later death starts to kill them one by one. I enjoyed this instalment but is wasn't quite as good as Final Destination 2 or 3, but I did enjoy it more than the original. The reason why this isn't quite as good is because the new characters aren't quite as interesting as the ones in 2 and 3, and the character development is quite iffy throughout the film. Also the runtime of just 82 minutes is quite short and the film felt a little too fast paced and sometimes rushed. Also some of the death scenes didn't look as realistic (due to CGI) as the ones in the previous instalments, but some were better as they were more gory, exciting and very tense (especially the car wash scene). And overall this is still an exciting and very good sequel but the previous two set the bar too high for this to beat. 'Final Destination 5' was the (then) final instalment of the franchise. A group of employees are on a coach and one of them has a vision about the bridge collapsing. He manages to save himself and his friends but days later death starts to kill them one by one. There is nothing new about the storyline and I should be saying that I found this boring because we have seen it all before. But this fifth instalment is still excellent and its even better than the original and the fourth film. The CGI used was brilliant and in this one looked far more realistic and believable. The new characters in this are also very interesting and likable and I didn't want any of them to die. Also the death scenes in this film were some of the best I have seen in this franchise so far. My favourites were the gymnastics scene and the laser eye surgery scene which were very original, clever, hard to watch and quite gory. Also if this film doesn't put you off from ever having laser eye surgery then I don't know what will. There are even a great few twists near the end and I love the death scenes flashbacks before the closing credits which showed us all of the franchises death scenes one last time and this ended it in a very nice cool way.

Wasnt sent what i purchased
I ordered these films as ive seen all of them before years ago and i really enjoyed them. This product is advertised as 5 films but ive only received three. The DVDS are also Region 1 encoding meaning they wont work on a lot of DVD players in the uk as they are region 2 (although it does say this on the product page). Always read the product details and reviews before purchasing

All the Blu-ray discs are working and have no defects. This movie franchise is one of my favorites. I know it is corny or mediocre to some, but I like it. The box art design is also neat. It took two weeks to arrive in the Philippines.

Muy buen producto muy emocionado y conforme con los Blu rays y el servicio es bueno, todas las películas excepto la primera tiene doblaje al español latino, la primera solo tiene subtitulos al español y también cuentan con suficiente material extra.
