Tombow Fudenosuke Brush Pen - Soft Type 5 Pens Arts Value set

I bought these to practise calligraphy and they are very good to use. Smooth and for beginning to write I recommend the soft tip first, although I like to use them in preference to the hard tip. Hard tip are also available and don’t give such a good stroke. Flexible strokes make writing easy and fun, impress your friends and try new lettering styles. Down stroke..push down to create a thick line, up stroke lighter south to create a thin stroke. When I write to family they always say how nice my writing is, a lot of the writing is down to the pens, I recommend you give them a try, at the reasonable price, why not.

If you're a complete beginner of Calligraphy or you already have mastered the art form, you are going to want to buy these pens!! I am still learning the fundamentals of calligraphy but these pens make learning worth it. I have recommended the Tombow to so many people and they love it as much as I do! My calligraphy writing has never looked so good. I know you can get a hard type too (which I am yet to try) but for now the soft type is the go to pen! You will not be disappointed.

These pens were recommended to me for learning certain calligraphy writing. I got the soft tips and I am finding them very useful and easy to write with. They are nice to hold and the ink flows well. I am also going to try to sketch with them too as I’ve seen a lot of people using them in their art because the tips are good for different strokes and effects. I normally use fountain pens for calligraphy but sometimes I don’t want to be bothered filling up a pen for just a few sentences so these come in very handy.

I adore these pens, I've been trying out different brush pens for years but could never settle on one that really worked for me, until I found these. I know it's cliche to say that but I honestly cannot express how beautiful these pens are, I have a shakey hand so when I try to do fine detail with other, less rigid pens, I find that the shakey-ness tends to express itself in the line work, but these I've never had a problem with, and I still get the line variance that I've been looking for. Absolutely wonderful, will buy them again as soon as I need more

Do you want to do beautiful calligraphy? Lovely thick/thin lines, loops and swirls etc these are the pens for you! 1 ordered these pens as a last choice. I'm trying to improve my handwriting and learn new skills/ways. I looked into fountain pens, I couldn't afford even an old 1 with the flexibility to write copperplate etc. I was also getting more ink on everything except the paper. The same with dip pens. Then I clocked it, I needed brush pens! (Hubby is at the end of his tether with me buying then swapping. Bless him) I ordered a very good quality oriental brush pen. And again! It laid a gorgeous ink but to flexible for my shakey hands. Then a fellow pen lover suggested these getting both hard and soft style. It's like a miracle, they are FANTASTIC. They glide down the pages, they are very sharp on thinside and flex enough to get the beautiful copperplate styles I've dreamed off. So much so I'm going to be using then in normal day to day writing as well.

I like the quality of the pens and they are a reasonable price

Bought the soft ones which are awesome for doing smaller modern calligraphy in my bullet journal. They don’t bleed in my Scribbles that matter journal either. Love that there was 5 in this set probably going to use all of them. I’ve done a lot of work since yesterday with just one and the ink is still going so that’s awesome. Would highly recommend these to beginners in modern calligraphy like me. These would be perfect to do the hand lettering books with.

I’ve been using these for several years now and are my favourite non-fillable brush pens. I prefer the soft tip as I can make a more varied line which suits how I ink and draw. They last longer than the Fabre Castell ones I used to use and keep their point longer too (although they do blunt a little after time).

It is an amazing brush, great for writing and for drawing. To modulate a line we can apply a bit of pressure and the line smoothly change without blobs. A great complement for graphic novellling for adding strenght to some contours; otherwise, with a regular pressure one can draw very fine and regular. I just love it! It took a while to came though, but I think that'll I'll order some more! Un feutre vraiment très intéressant pour dessiner et même pour écrire. La pointe est assez ferme et permet une modulation bien contrôlé des traits selon la pression appliquée. Excellent pour les dessin comme pour l'écriture. Je l'utilse principalement pour le dessin de type bandes-dessinées. Peut très bien convenir pour les Mangas. Bref, une plume feutre dont je ne saurais me passer et que je vais sûrement recommander!
