I bought this camera because I wanted to see what my dogs were doing when I was away. Well, let me tell you, I was not disappointed. This camera has amazing clarity and detail, even in low light. I can see every whisker and paw print on my couch. The wide angle lens covers the whole living room, so I don't miss any of there antics. They like to play with the IR LED at night, which is hilarious. The POE installation was easy, I just plugged it into my router and it was ready to go. I also love that I can access the footage from anywhere with the AmcrestCloud app. It works great with Alexa too, I just say "Alexa, show me the dogs" and she does. The only downside is that now I know how much he scratches my furniture and knocks over my plants. But hey, at least I have proof. This camera is awesome, I highly recommend it to any pet lover or anyone who wants a high-quality outdoor POE IP camera.

Lovely camera
I recently purchased an Amcrest POE Bullet Camera, and overall, I am quite satisfied with its performance. The camera offers excellent video quality, capturing clear and detailed footage both during the day and at night. The 4-star rating signifies that it has surpassed my expectations in several aspects, but still, there's room for improvement.Installation was relatively straightforward, thanks to the Power over Ethernet (PoE) setup, which simplified the wiring process. The camera's durable build and weatherproof design give me confidence in its ability to withstand outdoor elements, providing reliable surveillance year-round.One of the standout features of this camera is its night vision capability. The infrared LEDs provide excellent visibility in low-light conditions, allowing me to monitor my property effectively even in the dark. The range and clarity of the night vision are impressive, ensuring that no detail goes unnoticed. However, there are a few areas where the camera could be improved. Firstly, the software interface, while functional, could be more user-friendly. Navigating through the settings and adjusting camera features can be somewhat cumbersome at times, and the user manual provided is not very comprehensive.Additionally, while the camera offers good value for the price, it is not the most budget-friendly option on the market. Some users may find it slightly expensive compared to other cameras with similar features.Overall, the Amcrest POE Bullet Camera offers excellent video quality, durable construction, and impressive night vision capabilities. While there are areas for improvement, it provides reliable security monitoring for those looking to protect their property.

Good starter system
System is good for someone looking for easy installation and just starting off with basic system. We used it for an area of the house with minimal street lighting at night. It worked really well, was able to capture a couple of creatures roaming around. Installation was straightforward.

Plug and play with Amcrest NVR.
Plugged it straight into the Amcrest NVR and within a minute the live feed popped up on the screen. It actually took longer than I thought it would but as soon as I thought maybe something is wrong, the feed was up.Video quality is getting better and better and this particular camera is now considered midrange as far as video quality. Maybe even on the low range for all the new POE cameras available for consumers. The quality is fine for general capture of events. For identification purposes, this is probably not the best choice. But they have different resolutions available depending on what you need for any particular location. The video quality drops (it seems to me) any time there is movement which is the purpose of video capture. If movement stops, the image gets sharper. This is not specific to this camera. This same thing happens on my 12MP 4K POE camera as well. The 12MP just does a better job at trying to show details. But, I'm still talking about consumer-level POE cameras. Maybe in another year, POE cameras will be even better.Which brings me to why I recommend a POE NVR system. When you want to replace a camera, it couldn't get easier. The cable is already there. Just replace the camera with a newer, higher resolution camera using the same NVR and cable you already ran through the attic. Or replace the NVR with a newer, higher capacity version. All the cables and wires are already installed (the hard part of a POE NVR system) so components are super easy to upgrade/replace.The Amcrest app seems the same as other POE systems' apps. Nothing stood out yet that surprised me. Live-viewing the camera works well enough and will depend on your data connection.Anyhow, I'm happy with these Amcrest products so far. I've seen that they also offer factory refurbished products which I'm still testing. So far, the refurbished products just seem brand new.As I use this camera with the NVR, I'll be able to better compare this camera to an 8MP and another 4K. I'll update as time goes on.

Seems good
I was hoping I would be able to use with any Poe dvr but it won’t work with it. So I can’t comment on the quality of picture or functionality of the camera but the quality in which it’s made seems solid and bullet shaped.

Amcrest UltraHD 5MP Outdoor POE Camera
Good POE camera. I have the Amcrest DVR system so this (and some other cameras I got) all worked with no issues when refurbishing a system I had already with new items. The camera works well, the picture quality is good, not great, but it is far more than acceptable for what I am using it for.
