Solid Z-Wave Plus multi-sensor
As well as this, I've got one of the Aeotec multi-sensors. This is very slightly smaller, and because of the shape slightly less obvious, than the Aoetec sensor. The main downside is that it's only battery powered, and doesn't have the humidity sensor. That said, this is proving a very reliable, effective, device. I'm using it with Home Assistant (via OpenZWave), and it works without issue. The configuration options are good, making it easy to adjust things like the temperature report to account for the fact that it's warmer at the ceiling, or change the thresholds for reports. I've attached it so far with just the double sided pad, and that's holding fine. If you're debating between this and the Aeotec one, then for me it comes down to a choice between a compact install (Fibaro), or more sensors and optionally mains powered (Aeotec).

Not a bad sensor - could be better though.
I have a reasonable number of SmartThings sensors, with this being my first Fibaro sensor added to the Samsung system. Initial thoughts are that it's not a bad little sensor. While not the prettiest, it works and pairs easily with the SmartThings system. After use of it for a week, my views are: + Small and discreet (although Led lights up when it sees you which gives away the sensor's location) + Pairs quickly, works as expected + Multiple sensors in one package Negatives (although not a deal breaker) - LED flashes when one of the sensors activates, such as motion - LUX updates are slow, so some experimentation is needed to find a good lux level where motion lights can activate. - Motion sensing is slower than SmartThings own motion sensor. Takes approx 1 second, where as SmartThings operates almost instantly. I mainly bought this sensor to add LUX/luminance sensing for my system, because using motion sensors that operate lights only when it's dark had to rely on timing or sunset/sunrise settings. These are OK, except they don't take into account for cloudy/dark days, and I frequently found the sunrise/sunset failed if a light came on before the sunset triggered, leaving the light on until the next sunset operation. Adding this sensor to the system has allowed me to replace all the timing parts of my events, so lights are now all operating if the house/outside is dark, which is much better. It has taken some time to find a lux setting that I'm happy with, and moving the sensor around to determine dark settings doesn't work as the sensor seems to report LUX changes very slowly. One of the other issues is with the tamper detection - it triggers quite often (which displays a series of red, white and blue led flashes), when for example, it's serious windy outside (where my sensor is). But as I am not doing anything with the tamper detection, it's okay. Just hoping this doesn't impact battery life. Overall, this is a neat sensor, which is a little slow, but adds the main functionality missing from Samsung's own products for SmartThings - luminance detection!

Great sensor - the bread & butter of any Z-Wave alarm system
Have a load of these dotted around the home to keep an eye on things when I'm away. They work great, and the battery life hasn't moved yet so expect the claimed 2 year span will hold good. They are well designed and so small! Don't really use the temperature and lux light level reporting but always handy for future options. The most important thing is the accurate motion detection which is superb.

Better than Smartthings motion sensor
Got it to replace the Smartthings motion sensor as that has terrible battery life and stopped working after about a year. Have had this fibaro motion sensor about 6 months and works perfect everytime, with no battery change required yet. Smartthings says still has 100% battery but I'm not convinced that's accurate. Does not give false detections like the Samsung one used to.

One of the best smart sensors
Excellent multi sensor. I brought this to connect to my Samsung smartthings hub. It works seamlessly. I brought two. One triggers the lights via motion in the kitchen to turn on when lights are below a certain lux level when motion is detected. It also controls a trv on the rad to turn off the rad if it's too hot. The second I use upstairs with a similar logic, but I leave put the lux level as I want the lights to always come on whatever the light level is

Easy set up...but
Works well simple set up,a little expensive,(after less than 6 months of use this has stopped working I've tried resetting but it won't reset so if I could give it less than one star I would.

Maybe yes, maybe not
It works fine with my Smartthings Hub using a custom DTH and let's you configure it as you like. I went on holiday and this device didnt give any false alarms, however the ST Motion Sensor gave 2 false alarms! The coloured lights that flash are pointless...why do I want to know the temp of a room that I am walking through when I can feel the temp with my body :) its nothing but a gimic if you ask me. Also I noticed it's a lot slower to register motion, compared to my ST Motion detector...its takes about 2 seconds, so it's useless if you want the lights to turn on with motion detection e.g. when walking through the lobby, as you have left by the time it turns lights on. The range of the motion detection sensor is terrible compared to the ST one, this barely covers the room. For the price I would say this is nothing special! So it looks like I will need a ST one for motion lights and a Fibaro one for the alarm system.

Great Functionality and Compact high price point
I have a Smartthings System at home, I wanted to try a different motion sensor to the Samsung one as I also wanted something that would record light levels. Overall I am very pleased with this motion sensor, it was easy to pair and has stayed connected no problems. Build - Build quality is good on this, its smaller than it appears, it comes with a mount but also sits on a ledge fine. Its round design means its easy to mount in to a corner. Positives - Easy to connect, small, lightweight, longer battery life than other bands, provides motion, Lux and temperature readings. Negatives - Price (is fairly expensive), The light / eye reminds me of the lord of the rings and Mrs C found a little bit "freaky" its lights up on various events but you soon forget about that.

Zeer onbetrouwbaar

Great, can't change regions
It works great, but be careful of regional restrictions that you can't change yourself at home. So, if you bought it in different region it won't work.
