Everyone performing intricate craft work should have one of these, ultra sharp, so be careful, and a variety of blades are cheap and easy to replace .

If you are ordering replacement blades get the right ones.
Good for detailing work, I use them for craft and are more a consumable item. Blades do retain sharpness and the grip makes them easy to handle. For the cost of replacement blades at the moment it's as cheap to buy a set of blades with the handle. A little like Gillette do with their razors, they charge almost nothing for the handle and get you on the blades.

The delivery driver wanted to see my driving licence before he would hand over the package which seemed a bit unnecessary as I have retired. How flattering that he must have thought I look under 18. The blades are high quality but don't be tempted to use force as they are hard, brittle steel and can break across the middle. I heard of a case of a blade breaking in half and springing up into the users eye. Ordered Monday arrived Tuesday.

Good value scalpel handle and five blades
I already had two red plastic disposable handles, but couldn't find a reasonably priced pack of #26 blades (didn't need 100!). A genuine Swann Morton #4 handle with five blades fitted the bill.

Takes me back to my anatomy days... these are great for crafting and modelmaking
The #26 blades take a larger handle (#4) than my #10 blades on the #3 Handle so getting this pack was great. Used properly, these scalpels can produce very fine work in plastic and modelling clay/Milliput but if you intend to twist, lever or do anything brutish with them, be prepared to wear safety glasses (thank you Norm Abram). Simply put, the steel does not like to be twisted or bent much at all. The blades are fine in compression when pressing down on the blade to cut through plastic and other material but any bending or twisting can see these longer blades snap and ping off in random directions. Don't ask me how I know... Only wish that the #26s were as readily available in bulk like the 10As.

Ho acquistato questo bisturi in quanto studente di medicina veterinaria ho la necessità di avere uno strumento personale da utilizzare per dissezioni e autopsie. Il prodotto è molto valido, 5 lame in dotazione professionali. Il manico è molto facile da impugnare e le zigrinature non vi fanno mai perdere la presa.

+ handgreep is van degelijke kwaliteit en gemakkelijk te reinigen + gebruik het voor zeer fijn snijwerk in hout + met wat druk kan je het mesblad tijdens het snijden wat plooien, dit geeft meer mogelijkheden voor het hout heel fijn te fileren. +mesblad zit goed vast en is vlijmscherp, en ik bedoel echt vlijmscherp . -- messnede van NR 26 loopt tever naar achter (richting handgreep). Met de 'duim' begeleiden/steunen tijdens het snijden is NIET mogelijk, zonder u zelf te snijden. Ik heb al diverse keren mijn werk moeten stoppen, omdat mijn vingers vol bloed zaten. Dus uiterst voorzichtigheid is geboden met dit !

Je trouve ce scalpel parfait pour découper précisément des choses, il est très utile en modélisme, ou pour faire des maquettes. Ce n'est pas marqué dans la description, mais c'est un scalpel de marque Swann Morton. Les lames sont donc de très bonne qualité, elles coupent très bien et restent aiguisées longtemps.Je trouve que c'est la meilleure marque pour les lames. Le manche est gradué, ça peut être pratique. Le manche, numéro 4, est compatible avec toutes les lames Swann Morton, de 18 à 27. Je conseille l'achat de lames n°22, qui sont arrondies, pour compléter. Le système de fixation est simple et efficace. Toutefois, il faut faire attention en enlevant les lames, car une coupure est vite arrivée, et ça coupe très très bien! Seul petit défaut : il n'y a pas de capuchon, donc par sécurité il vaut mieux enlever la lame à chaque fois: Je mets quand même 5 étoiles car c'est normal qu'il n'y ait pas de capuchon, étant donné qu'à la base c'est un bistouri destiné à de la chirurgie, et pas un cutter de précision pour faire des maquettes.

Un bon manche en métal, des lames rigides, voilà le nécessaire pour faire de belles découpes. Les lames se changent facilement, attention tout de même à leur tranchant.
