Fruit of The Loom Men's T-Shirt

Nice weight to the material, not transparent like some cheaper shirts. Material isn’t the softest but it’s not harsh, just sturdy. Got these in a medium and this batch is running a little large by a few inches, but for the excellent value for money I’m not complaining about having 5 well made, sturdy shirts in a generous fit. 👍🏻 Great stuff.

CONS: NONE! So many of us are being conned in the name of profit, which is dressed up as sustainability and environmentally friendliness. The facts are, that all these man-made fabrics, like polyester, and vegan leather, are doing far more damage to the environment. They are derived through the fractional distillation of crude oil. Crude oil is not sustainable, is not environmentally friendly, nor does it stabilise the global economy or world peace. Cotton has been used for centuries. It grows quickly, is recyclable and biodegradeable, and is cheap. The problem is, it’s cheaper to produce in the BS marketing terms, technical fabrics. What they should say is, plastic pellets in one end, extruded fibres out the other, together with astronomical profits. If there was genuine concern for our environment, the first thing we’d do is stop using crude oil to make everything from, MARGARINE, to vegan leather, and now, synthetic meat! Hit back at the profiteers, buy leather shoes and sports footwear, cotton shirts, wool jumpers and fur coats, or down stuffed winter coats. Global warming may be or it may not be. Whichever side of the science you sit on, we cannot keep exploiting the earth’s resources no matter who is right or wrong. These Fruit of the Loom branded Cotton t-shirts are made from high quality cotton. The multipack offers 4 different colours, though other multi-packs in different colours exist. They are well made, soft, comfortable and you really are doing your bit for the environment and developing economies too. BUY THEM, THEY’RE DOTTORE APPROVED!

At first when I looked at the shape of these t-shirts I thought the fit was WAY off, but after trying them on they fit better than I thought, however they still aren’t the perfect size . The arms looked far too small but after putting one on i found the arms are still on the small side but perfectly acceptable. For my size they felt a little tight in the body than what I was used to, but after some creative adjustments (stretching the t-shirt by pulling it out while wearing it) it seemed to fit much better. One thing that’s good about them is the length. Being a bigger and taller guy I always end up with t-shirts that look like they were designed for Warwick Davis. These aren’t like that, nice and long down past the hip so really happy about that. Overall a great bargain for 5 t-shirts but you may want to go a size up or get creative with stretching them out a little.

So these are pretty much what you expect from Fruit of the Loom. The fabric isn’t what I would consider thick/heavy (you can see through them (white ones) through two layers). Construction was great; the seams weren’t very itchy and they didn’t run down the sides, only across the top and arms/sleeves. The seams and hem are all very well sewn. For the price, you’re getting a great quality T-shirt. My issue though is with the quality of the cotton used. After several washes, some DIY attempts (salt/vinegar/baking soda baths-all of which did NOTHING) they are still stiff and scratchy. I’m sure they’d be fine for others but for me, I just couldn’t bear it. Finally, I attacked them with 120 grit sandpaper and left them to sit in fabric softener for a day. Now they are much softer (and much thinner and less durable tbh), well made T-shirts.

This can be a bit frustrating, as it can affect the overall fit and comfort. 🌟 Overall, Fruit of the Loom's Heavy T-Shirt Pack is a solid choice for those in need of reliable, everyday t-shirts. The quality construction and brand reputation make it a practical investment, despite the somewhat basic design and minor shrinkage issues. 👕
