Will this work with oculus quest for oculus link beta?

Yes works a treat. They do a 10ft one too which I have ordered but not yet tried. This one definitely works though. Used with steam VR, Unity development and also as a rift.

Can this be used to juice up a new usb c macbook pro 15 from a hypo usb charger?

I've used this cable to power and charge my 13" MBP 2017, power was provided off a regular USB 3.0 port and unfortunately wasn't able to just about keep up with the power draw of the MacBook, power draw is reduced slightly but don't expect to run a MacBook off this cable indefinitely. Since I'm just using this cable to maintain a reasonable charge without trying to plug in my charger I'm fine with it but this is no replacement for a proper USB C to C cable or the official Apple USB C charger.

Is this a sync cable and not just a charge cable? when i use it to connect my google pixel to my macbook pro, it is not recognised, any ideas?

Hi I get the exact same problem you have with this cable. Does not recognise it for data transfer only charging. I have a Macbook pro and a Pixel 2 XL. Did you find a workround or did you just but a different cable? Really infuriating....
