Passed Mot first time!
I was recommended this by a friend who swore by it to get me through my emissions test for mot. The car it went in was a 1994 Toyota supra twin turbo. Last year's mot was just about a pass for emissions(very close to the limit) and where parts aren't readily available for my car (if parts are available they come with the added jdm supra tax!). I thought I'd give this a go. I had a little too much fuel in my tank but was a bit scared to use this with the less stated fuel to cataclean mix ratio considering the car is old and has a £6000 engine, which I was scared to cause damage to. Mixed it into a 3rd of a tank of superunleaded (+25 litres approx). Let the car idle for 10 minutes to get up to operating temperature. Then cruised at 50 to 70mph for about half hour. Feeling confident the mixture was safe for the engine I started driving in lower gears doing hard pulls in the car. I drove this pretty much close to empty didn't take long considering the type of engine it is. Then filled up with super unleaded. 1 week later it had its Mot and passed with flying colours! Well within the emission limits and actually surprisingly almost too low on the Co figures. I now swear by this product and will be using it throughout the year to keep the fuel and emission system as clean as possible. Car drives alot smoother, and pulls a bit quicker too. I did a 0-60 before and after to make a comparison and it was 0.45 seconds quicker after the cataclean.

Great product.
I first used this on my daughters 2007 VW Polo car. It was unused for almost 2 years, we just started it occasionally, and even less occasionally 'exercised' it up and down our short (private road - it was on SORN during her time abroad). Once we wanted to take it for MOT before her finally agreeing we sold it, the emissions light came on (luckily coming back, after a pass, so it was not heavily dirty), but VW sensors LOVE lights coming on sending you to their main 'stealers' if they can!!. I borrowed a tool to put it out, but after about 20 miles it came on again. I added this bottle, plus about 10/15 litres of good (non supermarket) fuel and put the light out again. It never came back on - this really does the job, I have since bought again, but have found it more competitive elsewhere; plus there was some sort of mess up with Eurocarparts and we had to remind them of our order after it had not arrived for almost a month as best I recall. They were very fast to respond when we made contact though, we should have done so sooner in all fairness to them.

Cured a hesitancy and recurring CEL issue.
My daily hack is a 2000 Volvo V70 T5 which I have owned for 17 years and which now has just slipped past 260k miles. The car has always been well maintained and has been a faithful servant for 20k per year commuting and dog-lugging for a number of years, largely without any real hitches. Over the last several weeks, however, the car has been stuttering markedly between 2000 and 3000 rpm and has been throwing up a CEL and OBD2 codes, indicating both rich and lean running, at random, every 100 miles or so. After cleaning the MAF sensor, checking for vacuum leaks and replacing the boost control valve, all of which are a likely culprit for the issues I've been experiencing, the problem persisted. Although the lambda sensor was replaced relatively recently (c. 30k miles ago) and the spark plugs are only around 12k miles old, I thought about replacing both items as a prelude to the dreaded, last resort, injector replacement and/or new ETM module. As a shot to nothing, I first threw in a bottle of a quality PEA-rich injector cleaner - which made no real difference - followed by a bottle of Cataclean into the last 15 litres of fuel in the tank. After a 100 mile commute, on a freshly reset CEL light, the problem appeared to be cured. The car pulled like it should, the hesitancy/pinking had gone, and after what now amounts to 500 miles of driving I haven't seen a recurrence of the CEL light or the pinking/stuttering on boost. It may only be a tub of acetone and xylene, but it evidently works very well for certain niggly issues relating to potentially gummed up components in the emissions and exhaust system. Worth a try if you've got an older car with a troubling, intractable, and potentially expensive issue.

Great, works well, will reuse on recommend cycle!
Needed this as I was told my cat had become sulphurized and after searching online I found this is because I haven't been pushing the car as much due to me driving in a lot of stop start conditions. Poured in when my tank was at 1/4 and drove the car in low gears to get the engine working hard. Due to not being able to hit the motorway and not being able to drive above speed limits I found this method very effective and many people online suggested it as part of the "Italian tune up". So I stuck to 40MPH routes, starting off I would shift through gears 1-3 until I reach 40MPH, my car would sit at 3k revs, done this for approximately 15miles which was adequate time to warm up the engine. Later I decided to push the car further and drive in 2nd gear to get the revs even higher, I done this for another 15 miles and my revs would sit at 4.5-5k revs doing 40-45MPH. There came a point where I wouldn't even have to shift to gear 1 due to redlights working in my favor🤣. But at one point where I did have to stop the vehicle, the engine was super silent and was purring and setting off again was super effort less. So I definitely believe this works, I will be trying it again on the recommended cycle of every 3 months as it's already made a noticeable difference, I also had a K&N installed and the car feels alot better now.

If Your Cat is Dirty This Is The Solution
I decided to use this because I was having problems with my engine management light coming on. I took my vehicle to the main dealer and they put it on the diagnostic computer, which showed the emissions were not right. They suggested it was probably a bad batch of fuel and told me it was fine to drive, once I refuelled I should have no more problems. I then paid the £35 for the diagnostic and went away happy the problem was not going to cost me a fortune. As you can probably tell already, I know nothing about cars. Several weeks later, the engine management light came on again, so it was another trip to the garage. It cost me another £35 but this time they told me I needed a new catalytic convertor at a cost of £600. I was shocked. My car is nine years old, but I'd had it since new so I know it was well looked after (rarely used & serviced every year). My friend told me about this and I found it easily on Amazon. I ordered two bottles and straight after use immediately noticed it was running far more smoothly. The downside was the dreaded engine management light was still on. My car is quite large and my friend suggested I order another bottle or two. Well another two bottles later (four in all) my car is running really smoothly and the dreaded light went off. I have waited several weeks til posting this review and the light is still off, and the car is running like new. I thoroughly recommend this product.

The truth, the whole truth so help me..........fairies!
The reviews sounded reasonably ok for me to try this, after my Toyota garage quoted £200 to clean my catalytic converter, only 1400mls since the last time, as my engine diagnostic light had come on. Can you believe that? Anyway, not only having followed the instructions to the letter, I did an extended dual carriageway long run at high revs to burn off the specified excess soot. The lit-up engine light did not go out, thereby continuing to register a sooted-up exhaust system. I have done numerous dual carriageway runs since in 3rd gear/high revs to clear the problem to no avail. A recently purchased engine management code reader still reads a sooted-up exhaust system. Checking with a reputable local small garage to clean the system, they confirmed they would only use Cataclean or very similar anyway and then clear the error code by using a code reader! Leaving us, the poor paying public digging deep once more to pay out for a system introduced by the government on dirty diesel having been told a few years ago that diesel was the clean way to go..........you couldn't make this up into a novel as it being too far fetched. Enjoy the rest of your day:-)

Turned my car into a beast!
My 1998 Mazda Xedos failed its emission test on MOT for the first time this year. My car is only used infrequently and most of the use is stop and start visits to the gym 4 miles away. Every three months we have a 250-mile blast to London and back, but due to family illness, no more. The CO results on the MOT were twice the legal limit on the latest MOT. Explored my options and ordered a service of oil/filter, air filter, fuel filter and plugs change. But before taking in, I reduced my fuel tank to below 15L (a quarter, on my car's tank) then added the Catacare. WOW! It was like driving a new car. I got that "pressed back into the drivers seat under acceleration" feeling that I've never had in the 7 years I've owned the car!" It was a beast, and its performance equalled its V6 24v roar! Just got notice from the garage that it passed its emission test, passed the MOT and can't wait to pick it up tomorrow for some TLC wash and polish. My pride and joy! Cataclean REALLY impressed me. I will be using it every 6 months from now on, then just before the next MOT.
