I have just put this in my diesel car.Will it be a problem?

You don't have to run the engine to flush it through, because you add it to the petrol tank and it works when you drive.

Can I use this in a petrol lawnmower?

I do not see why you cannot, but for what benefit?, I doubt it would cure any running issues, it basically increases the octane level of the fuel and would clean out and deposits over a period of time. If you have running issues I would strip down the carburettor first and clean and replace any parts needed. Hope this helps.
