so what would be the difference with this and those super expensive pioneer controllers? Is this worth buying for a producer?

The difference between this controller and the more expensive Pioneer controllers would be the fact that they don't allow you to do as much. It genuinely depends on your experience as a DJ though. If you are interested in learning how to DJ then I would recommend purchasing this controller. It is quite small and easy to use for someone who doesn't have much experience. However, if you already have experience as a DJ then I would suggest purchasing the Pioneer DDJ SB-2 controller or the Numark Mixtrack Platinum. They currently range from anything between £250-£400. The pitch slider on this controller is quite small which makes it more difficult to adjust the bpm. The jog wheels and overall controller are also quite small. However, the benefit of having a small controller is that you won't become overwhelmed by a huge controller that you don't know how to use. You also don't want to purchase an expensive controller if you don't intend to pursue a career as a DJ. Therefore, this would definitely be a great controller for someone who wants to practice DJing as a hobby.                To be perfectly honest purchasing this controller wouldn't be of any benefit to someone who wants to produce music. If you wish to produce music I would recommend buying a MIDI keyboard and Fruity Loops 12 Producer Edition. I hope that this helps if you have anymore questions please don't hesitate to ask.

First, download the software, Virtual Dj LE. Then plug it in to your computer and open the software. Once in the software, tell it where your music is on your computer. You can then drag tracks in to each deck on the software.

Out of 10 how would you guys reccomend this for djing in bigger places?

I recently purchased the Numark 3 (non pro - with no sound card) and purchased the DJiO2 (sound card) My controller has the virtual Numark alternative in the 'interface' settings. I think for the money this is great value, simple if you know the basics and not difficult if you don't. Depends what you mean by djing in bigger places!? I hooked mine up to some decent active monitor speakers for some punch, so the controller will connect to a small and larger sound system. I'm no superstar dj but as a starter, without spending a fortune, good place to start. The only problem is, if you get in to it, you'll probably want an upgrade sooner or later - possibly the software. Think about what you're wanting to do with it ie, house parties, weddings etc and think about what other of pieces of extra kit you might need and how much it might cost. It's easy to feel like you're in the chocolate factory.

I bought this controller, my code for virtual DJ wasn’t working on it so I can no longer use the free version as the trial has ran out?
