Melissa & Doug Secret Decoder Role Play Detective Kit | Spy Game for Kids | Age 7-9 - FSC Certified

As the boys are getting older it’s becoming difficult to find good gifts for school friends, as well as an activity that catches my son’s attention and keeps him away from the screen. After reading some reviews I have decided to purchase the “on the go” single book as part of a gift and another one for my 7 year old son. After initial scepticism once he understood what he needed to do he just couldn’t put it down until all of it was done. In the process he kept saying how much he was enjoying it. The only other toy we get the same reaction out of is a new set of Lego. He immediately asked if he could have another similar book, so I have bought this set as it’s a better value for money than buying books individually. Once all was completed he even created his own book using the decoder symbols with his own secret messages. I am thoroughly impressed with this product! If you are still thinking whether to buy it or not - just go for it! I can’t speak for older children, but it’s a safe bet for ages between 7 and 9. My 5 year old daughter ended up using the spare book, but she enjoyed more the colouring aspect and revealing the hidden pictures rather than decoding itself. I will be buying more of these sets for my son’s friends’ birthdays!

I have bought this 5 times now as birthday presents for my kids friends parties after I got it for my own kids and they loved it, it always seems to go down well so has become a go to present for any birthday parties now, perfect for ages 6 - 9 I would say, and great for both boys and girls, it seems to pop up in deals quite a lot and I have managed to get it several times for under £10 which is a bargain, but its still worth the £12 - £13 price tag it seems to go for at other times

Great gift for kids of all ages over 5. Lots of different spy activities and puzzles to complete. My daughter of 6 and niece aged 8 both loved it.

My daughter (8) writes, “My first favourite thing about the toy is the first book (which used the special ‘magnifying’ glass to reveal secret messages) and the thing I kind of dislike is the last book because the missions are a bit harder to do.” Her dad (me) adds, “The toy is very well designed for its demographic; my daughter loves doing the missions, using the red-lens and code-wheels (we haven’t used the secret inks yet). A minor criticism is that the toy is, perhaps, a little expensive judged only on the material cost of the raw materials included, but it has been so well-designed and thought-out, IMO it is worth every penny. Basically, this a REALLY GREAT TOY; buy, buy, buy!!!!”

I initially purchased one of these back in January for my sons friends birthday. I then bought the smaller travel set for my son for Easter and he absolutely loved it! So I decided to buy the bigger version for him for his own birthday earlier this month. Well what can I say but he just could not put this down until it was finished! Really kept him occupied, he didn’t need any extra help from me either, he just worked through at his own pace.

Got this while on offer at about half the normal price, it was great value and bought as a birthday present for 8 yrs old he loves it and there is plenty to do. items can be kept together in a nice folder

My son loved this only problem is he completed it all with a few hours and then that’s it you can’t replay it which is disappointing. Wish you could buy extras for it. Probably not worth the price as it’s s one time thing only however he did absolutely love playing it for that brief time.

Engaging activity that my daughter thoroughly enjoyed!

Jeu en anglais

Bello ben fatto.
