Great piece of kit, makes restringing a guitar very easy. Cuts and winds perfectly as required. Good to have a lightweight 'all in one' tool for my guitar bag. Very easy to use even for beginners and the price is spot on for what you get.

This is the ultimate gadget for any guitarist electric or acoustic. Basically if your restringing your acoustic you have a little pair of tweezers that will help you pull out the pins at the bridge and they work really well even on stubborn pins that have been forced in and left for years. You also get a string winder which if you have never used one is one of the greatest inventions ever for restringing your guitar, when you try it for the first time you will wonder why you never bought one sooner. This one is a good size too and fits the machine heads on all my electric and acoustic guitars easily. But in my opinion the best part is the string cutter. The two blades cross over each other unlike most plyers so when your trying to cut the thinner strings its a breeze, they easily cut through a gauge nine top E string without any hassell. Basically this is all you need to restring any guitar in one small and handy tool that can fit easily in any guitar case or even your pocket. I bought the bundle and got the lemon oil aswell and this works a treat at cleaning up the neck and somehow makes the neck feel faster and much nicer to play when you put it on. Overall a splendid quality product and a must for any guitarist and at a really good price too.

Out of the packet it looks a quality tool, it has a weighty feel about it, the grips on the cutter look strong and won’t come off, the winder plastic looks pretty substantial too. The cutter works perfectly, cuts the wire strings with ease no play in the jaws at all think it will last years. The winder was very tight to turn so loosened the screw a tiny amount and it worked fine. Small Klunson tuner so bit fiddly to keep winder on but soon got the knack. Think the screw for the winder might be an issue after a while. Haven’t used pin puller no need for that. Overall a good multi tool for everyday guitarist.

It is very useful for changing guitar strings . Speeds the process up and makes it easier.

Saves a lot of knuckle aches and time using this. It would be five stars, but sometimes it’s a little fiddly to use the string cutter function. Probably better than similar items, but they’re all a little trial and error to find one that winds efficiently and fits well, feels good ergonomically etc. This is the most effective tool like this that I’ve tried so far, but it still feels slightly flawed. 1 day I will have the perfect string winder, but they will likely be known as ‘the roadie’

A good product and if you haven't got one, it's something you only buy once, so worth the money. I particularly liked the string cutter, which did the job perfectly. I also liked the end that levers out your bridge pins.. I have marked many a bridge trying to lever out the pins with a screwdriver, kitchen knife or trying to pull them out with a pair of pliers !! I actually like to wind the strings to tension by hand, because it really doesn't take that long... as long as you follow the rule of cutting each string a tuning peg and a half's length, from the tuning peg you are putting the string in... This way, you have the perfect length of string to wind on to the tuning peg... and where the string cutter comes in to its own.

A distanza di 8 anni dall'acquisto, posso dire che questo avvolgicorde è perfetto, punto. In quanto liutaio lo uso praticamente tutti i giorni e non mi ha mai deluso. Un mese fa ha iniziato a "scricchiolare" dall'usura, ma è bastato aggiungere una piccola guarnizione di gomma alla base della testa rotativa ed ora è come nuovo. La pinza taglia le corde senza problemi, e nonostante non mi sia mai fidato del tutto dell'estremità in plastica che serve a rimuovere i piroli sulle chitarre acustiche (essendo in plastica ho sempre pensato potesse abbandonarmi da un momento all'altro), è ancora perfetto e funzionale come il primo giorno. Acquisto fondamentale e azzeccatissimo.

It's made of strong plastic, doesn't bend or feel flimsy in the hand. Cuts bass strings with ease, winds strings easily. The end that covers the tuning key is very large, and perhaps on smaller, closer spaced, tuning keys may pose a problem. You'll just have to turn one key vertical and then wind the other one, and finish off tuning by hand (of course). I like that it's plastic, contrary to some other reviews, as it doesn't scratch or mar finishes unless someone should get stupid with it, and it's heavy enough plastic that you're not scared to use it. Good product. I'd buy another one without a doubt.

Habe mit diesem Tool schon einige Saiten gewechselt und bin zufrieden. Würde ich wieder kaufen.

What can I say about this? It's a string winder with a cutter. They're always good to have a round. I've had this one for years and it's still working fine. I think they're all about the same no matter what brand you get. The only difference will be in quality and if they'll last or if they'll break easily. This one seems well made so no issues there. I'd buy more if I ever need more.
