Good item
Nice jar, looks good. Clever the way the lid is also the rest. Tip for putting water back in: set tap not too fast and make sure some holes are free to let air out. Glad it is all plastic so wonโt rust. Would buy again.

just perfect
I chose this particular product because of its size, it's small enough to sit on a windowsill in the smallest kitchen and on top of that it's easy to use. I have had a germinator before, a big bulky thing with 3 circular trays piled one on top of the other. I used it a couple of times producing tons of spruts which never got eaten and took up a third of my work space, so I promptly gave it to a friend who did exactly the same thing. This, on the other hand, is small, it produces enough sprouts for a small family who uses them to add to salads and rolls and everyone can use it / store it without fuss. So if your diet doesn't consist entirely of sprouts, I would certainly recommend this.

Excellent for sprouting seeds
Probably the only thing one could need for growing sprouting seeds. The only down side is that the lid mesh easily clogs with 'very small' seeds as apposed to the type of fine straining mesh one can get from winemaking suppliers. However, for mixed or larger seeds these jars are perfect. The jars are also perfect for soaking dried pulses and vegetables overnight before cooking. I should also add that the jars and lids are very easy to clean and appear to be made from strong material.

Sprouting made easy and convenient
Although all you really need to sprout some seeds is a jar with a bit of mesh held over the end with a rubber band, having a screwtop lid with a mesh the right size to stop seeds falling through and an integrated support which holds the jar at the right angle to drain makes it very quick and easy to prepare your sprouts. I just soak a couple of teaspoons of broccoli seeds overnight, rinse them and then water once in the morning and once in the evening. After 4 - 5 days the sprouts are ready to eat and can be used in sandwiches, salads and a variety of other ways. At the very least they provide some variety and crunch to your diet. Readers can make their own assessment as to the other nutritional claims for them.

Great and convenient sprouting jars
Arrived promptly and after a hot soapy wash and rinse, started using to sprout alfalfa seeds.......... these sit tidily on a worktop, not in direct sunshine, with light. Easy to use in order to rinse out seeds twice daily and ready to eat within 4 or 5. I have six on the go at any one time! It ensures I have a daily crop of goodness to eat before a meal or within a salad :)

Easy to use, works well.
I've used this sprouter several times and it works really well. It is compact to store and place. With one use I have enough sprouts to last my baby for a week or more (I use this to make finger millet sprouts and then powder). I'm ordering more so that I can simultaneously make different sprouts. Love that it is made of glass, only WISH the lid and mesh were made of stainless steel so it would be totally plastic free.

DO NOT BUY if you want to sprout Broccoli Sprouts!
DO NOT BUY if you want to sprout Broccoli Sprouts! I ordered and only found out when the item had arrived that the box says it's not appropriate for Broccoli Sprouts as the holes in the sieve are too big. They could have included that in the description and save both sides the hassle. However they accepted the return so decent customer service. I can't say much about the product as I never used it.

I can easily store away when not in use as it is the size of a large jam jar
Great for making your own sprouting seeds. Don't take up a lot of space. I use with a small plastic dish to catch the drips and like the fact when I'm not using I can easily store away as it is the size of a large jam jar.
