5V Zoom H4n Recorder power supply replacement adaptor

Existing H4N Zoom power supply over 15 years old and wasn’t working. No spare available from Zoom but this works perfectly.

This is much easier than needing to swap out AA batteries between takes, plug and play.

Spot on! The H4 just LOVES batteries, this is a godsend.

Zoom impress on you the importance of using only the correct mains adaptor, the only problem being I couldn't find anyone selling a genuine Zoom adaptor. However this was very reasonable and does the job perfectly. Having said that the H4n doesn't eat batteries quite like the H4 used to so you could get by without!

Yes it works with H4N Pro, but the pin sticks out 20mm also the cable is only 130 cm long. (see photos) Firstly if you are trying to find out what cable and fit you need for the H4N Pro it is DC 5 V - 1A Positive + centre pin (-) (•-(+) 4.0mm (outer barrel), 1.7mm (inner hole) plug. This cable is acceptable as in it works, the male barrel that inserts into the H4N is too long. It is 120mm when it should be 100mm (maybe even 90mm) Unfortunately Zoom who make the H4N don't sell (as far as I can tell) a legitimate AC power for the H4N in the UK or EU so you have to Jerry Rig a set up. My OCD can't handle the 20mm hanging out so I'm returning this cable and keeping the other cable which fits better and you can connect via USB A connector to mains power or a power bank - all for £5.92 (not including a plug) So 3 stars for powering the H4N, but that's all you get.
