A really fantastic bit of kit
I had neglected a large patch of ground opposite my home for several years and it had become overgrown with brambles and weeds, way too much for me to manage with my strimmer and hand tools. What I needed was a reasonably priced brush cutter, preferable one that could double-up as a powerful strimmer, which I could use for dual-purposes and after checking out what was available decided on the Bosch AFS 23-37. Not too expensive and made by Bosch, a first class company manufacturing great gear, which I always look out for when buying electrical equipment like fridges, drills, vacuum cleaners etc. Never had anything designed or made by Bosch fail me. Assembly was pretty simple and today I finally decided to give it a go. Wow! The Bosch brush cutter chopped through woody brambles and young bamboos like a hot knife through butter! I could hardly believe what quick work this gadget made of everything, altogether better and more efficient than I could have ever imagined, chopping everything off at ground level in the blink of an eye. With its help I cleared the big patch of brambles and young bamboos in less than an hour and forty-minutes of that was spent by me raking up and disposing of what I had cut off! Great all round. What more can I say. Delighted. I will mention that the Bosch, because it has a very powerful 950w electric motor, might be a bit weighty for some but, thanks to the adjustable harness supplied with it, which transfers most of the weight of the tool from the arms to the shoulders, shouldn't present any problems for the averagely strong. Elderly, frail or generally muscularly weaker people however might find the Bosch a bit too much of a beast to use successfully for long. The Bosch AFS 23-37 is a first class tool, has a three-year guarantee if you register the tool online, and can be purchased hereabouts at a bargain price. If you are looking for a really powerful electrical combination strimmer and brush cutter, equal to or better than many a petrol equivalent, and are strong enough to wield it in anger, so to speak, my advice would be for you to consider it.

Powerfully strimmer.
I've had lots of strimmer, the ones where the wire comes out the 2 holes opposite each other and either auto feeds when breaks or you do it manually. They're fine for our front garden that gets decent maintenance and hardly any weeds or thick brush, but our back garden gets heavy thick brush and weeds and can get overgrown rather fast. When I've used the other strimmers the wire would just snap after a few feet and have to constantly be would out etc. I needed something that could handle the rough stuff. I un boxed and set this new strimmer up,the ads 23-37 which comes with a ore fitted tough thick line plus 2 spare that stores in the handle attachment, and comes with a blade for even tougher brush, there's a shoulder strap with quick release so you don't have to take it off completely when you maybe need to stop for a drink or something. Alright so I'm getting stuck into the slightly heave thick ish brush and wow it chops through it easily, further up our garden is my nemesis that I usually just stare at and think about hiring a JCB to just get rid of it, I contemplated swapping the screw in thick wire round thingy ma jig that comes pre installed and putting the blade on, but I thought let's see what happens with the wire attachment, wow it flew through it, I mean that wire is tough and we're talking weeds the ones that have spikes on the that grow everywhere the thick ones, it just cut them down and made a fantastic job of clearing everything. I expected to have to replace the wire but no it was fine, I even went and did the front with it. The balance with the shoulder strap and handle which can both be adjusted for comfort, really feel comfortable. Overall I'm really happy and super impressed. The other things I'd suggest is either a face mask or keep your mouth shut, a pair of safety glasses and if you have pockets just check them afterwards as I had a lot of bits In there, grass, weeds etc. It's really powerful so just be careful of flying bits. Amazing strimmer brush cutter.

Great toy with a fault
There aren't many corded strimmer's over 500W. This is one of them. I replaced the supplied shoulder strap with a proper harness. The shaft length is not adjustable, so anyone under 5' 6" tall is going to struggle. It is nicely balanced on a harness making it easy to swing. The strimming cord will cut through anything and needs to hit something metal to be sheared off. However, it has a design fault. The cord holder is a larger diameter than the drive shaft, creating a valley between the cord and the backplate. Long grass wraps itself in the gap and jams up the strimmer, very quickly if there is a lot of grass. Pulling stinging nettles free is a right pain, literally. The strimmer comes with the strimmer unit assembled. It took a great deal of effort, not helped by grass jammed in the joint, to free the strimmer to attach the brush blade. The spare strimmer cords are stored in the handle, held in with a bung that falls out, along with the cords. Aside from those points it is a great unit for the price, sadly lacking in spare strimmer cords - two in total.

Seriously impressed with this, great piece of kit!
When we moved into our new house it had been empty for a few months, and the large back garden was seriously overgrown - we're talking waist high grass, brambles, even some unexpected ants nests hidden at the back of the garden. I thought I need a petrol brush cutter as a minimum but after seeing the reviews of this and the price difference between this and a decent petrol unit I took a chance on it. This Bosch unit absolutely tore through everything without thinking about it. I didn't even have to use the cutting blade, the line was more than enough. Really easy to put together and much easier to use than a petrol unit - no messing about mixing fuel or messing about with filling it up. The unit is reassuringly weighty, with the strap making it easy and comfortable to use. Great value, much better than cheap petrol units an much cheaper than a half decent petrol strimmer. 100% recommend this item.

Gets even the toughest job done with ease
This strimmer is a beast, very good for over grown gardens needing a lot of work. Make light work of every strimmer job you throw at it, and when it gets super tough, just chuck on the brush cutter and away you go again.only down side I can see it is on the heavy side, bit comes with a strap though, and is comfortable.

Beast of a Strimmer!
I hate gardening with a passion sadly and had put off doing my back garden for months. Unfortunately for me I have an invasive vine that's crept into my lawn and taken it over thanks to a neighbour introducing it in on their fence. Stupidly thanks to me putting off time and time again the vines had become really thick and the weeds had completely overtaken all of the lawn. I've tried to clear it in the past with a few previous bog standard cheaper strimmers from Flymo and Black and Decker which were automatic spooling "string" strimmers, but they kept eating through entire spools without even making a dent. I'd finally given up and was thinking of wasting money by getting someone in to do it for me, until I saw this and brought it in a last ditch effort - it's easily the best purchase for the garden I've ever made! The removable blade on this strimmer is an absolute beast and destroyed everything in its path, (nearly including my metal wire catio cage I was tryjng to strim around!) Once I'd used the blade to cut back all of the bigger weeds and vines, I then switched over to the reinforced "string" and it was so tough I didn't even have to replace it once! What would have normally eaten through an entire auto-feed spool of string didn't even come anywhere near close to killing off one set length of string, so the value for money is absolutely top notch! The only draw back I can see is that Bosch seem to have stopped making the blades as I can't find them listed anymore, but there does seem to be loads of unbranded replacements on here available and I was able to find a gardening company online in the UK who still had some Bosch ones in stock. That being said however I think the blade itself will last for a very, very long time before it needs to be replaced as its very well made, thick and durable (it hit a few large rocks the delightful builders of my house decided to fill my garden with that they'd tried to bury under the lawn and it didn't cause any damage!). The strap and grip allows the strimmer to sit very, very comfortably in my grip without causing the normal back pain I'd feel with a bog standard strimmer without these features. Can't recommend this strimmer enough, buy it and you won't be disappointed, clears areas ridiculously quickly! Oh and there was a nice surprise - there are couple of spare reinforced strings hidden in the compartment on the handgrip. P.S. Definitely wear something on your legs i.e. not shorts, gloves and safety glasses because genuinely this thing is SO powerful it can kick up any loose stones and pieces of debris it comes into contact with.

😀 Powerful brush cutter
Well made and works really well and I mean really well 👍I’ve had a petrol before and this is better and quieter. Not cheap but cheaper than petrol alternatives and lifhteemr / weight is okay even my age bracket (70🫤👨🦳) And has the advantage of being mains operated ad not depending on replaceable expensive batteries !🪫 and will hopefully last

Fantastic brush cutter
Love this Bosch brush cutter, it packs a punch and nothing stands in its way. I didn’t even need to use the blade as it cut through overgrown weeds and small bushes that had started to grow in the weeds with ease. I wanted a reliable brush cutter and Bosch is a great reliable name unlike the other names you have never heard of cheaply made from China. This is heavy but the strap that comes with it makes it more manageable. Love the fact the spare lines can be kept in the handle. Only negatives are the instructions aren’t that good I had to go on YouTube to find out which bit went where! Also the cord isn’t very long had to buy an extension cable, cord should be much longer considering it’s for a garden and mine is only small but still needed an extension to get round with the cutter. Would highly recommend though.

Estupendo producto

Strong, powerful and value for money
Brilliant product, far more powerful than its size suggests. The wire is also strong enough to cut through thick, mature weeds. I have only had it for a week, but so far I am very impressed and delighted with my purchase. Ity the job I had hoped it would, has done exactlfor a fraction of the price I expected to pay.

Un piccolo mostro. Consigliato!
Ottimo. Consigliatissimo.
