The magnet itself is quite strong however you do need to either put a secondary magnet on the back of your phone or phone case which can get a in the way a bit, it doesn’t seem to work well with Apples MagSafe. The clip for air vents doesn’t work amazingly with every car brand and can sometimes slide itself off if the grip isn’t perfect.

This little magnetic gadget fits into the slats of the air conditioner vents in your car. It is quite sturdy, and when the phone is attached to the magnetic base it STAYS THERE. It is unobtrusive when you are not using it to hold your phone and quite naturally blends into the dashboard. Our Fit has two little vents at the center of the dash, and the knob snaps in quite efficiently. The phone is rock solid and doesn't move around. We have access to everything on the dash and great visibility with the map on our Android phone. It is painless to install, and a marvel to use. I bought 2, and plan to buy several more for my family and friends as little gifts. They will LOVE me. Buy this. It is made well, and you will not be disappointed!
