Manrose QF100T Quiet Extractor Fan with Timer for 4"/100mm Duct

Easy to fit - replacing the same fan after 15years. Good quality, well made, looks good. Value for money Very quiet.

Easy enough to install (I was just replacing a unit which had failed so no real re-wiring to do). It’s not silent, but definitely quieter than most. The cutoff timer will run from 1 minute up to about 40 minutes. Thats easy to adjust after it’s fitted to the wall. Def buy again should another unit fail.

Purchased to replace our en-suite extractor fan that had broken. It’s much quieter than our old fan and was very easy to install. Marked down to 4 stars as one of the screw caps was missing but thankfully the ones off our old one fitted perfectly. Really nice to not hear it once the bathroom door is shut (which we could with the old one which was understandably very annoying at night.

Only just installed and the fan is working perfectly and quiet like the previous fan. Had it for 6 years. Hard to say how good the replacement is but cost and delivery was excellent. Item quality is tbc but to date the overall experience is 4 star.

After months of being woken up by the old extractor fan after my wife's morning shower I decided to take action. I looked at various fans on amazon and at £22 this appeared to have good reviews and the quietness I desired. As always, Amazon delivered quickly and the product arrived in perfect working order. I decided to install this product myself. I removed the old fan by unscrewing the corner screws and this removed the fan from the ceiling. After turning off the electric I then released the three cables whilst making a note of what each one was. The Manrose has a timer so that you can choose how long the fan stays active after you have turned off the bathroom light. A handy feature that is essential in my opinion. For this feature to work two power cables need to be attached to the unit. Once the cables were securely attached I screwed the base of the fan into the ceiling. If you have to make new holes (As I did for two of the screw holes) then i recommend you use raw plugs specifically designed for plasterboard. I tried to take a shortcut which did not pay off. Once the base of the unit is securely fitted it is just a case of two screws to fir the cover unit which finished off the unit nicely. I could not believe how quite the unit is in comparison to the old extractor fan. It has not woken me up since. At the price this is a fantastic upgrade from old noisy fans. One final installation point to consider. The fan was a tight fit, through no faults of the fan but because of how the last fan was fitted. This lead to the anticlimax of testing the fan after it had be screwed in and it could not spin. This was frustrating as i tested it in situ before i screwed it in and it worked fine. The act of screwing it down tighten the hole and lead to the fan not having enough space to spin. I put this down to the relatively then plastic. However, I am happy with the quality of the product at the price point. This is the final point: There is a plastic flap on the top of the extractor unit that prevents things from coming down the pipe. Yes, it is thin but i am sure it will do the job.

Llego el extractor y lo instalé de acuerdo a la polaridad que indicaban las instrucciones y no funcionó. Probé otro equipo en el mismo punto de conexión y si funcionaba. Probe el extractor Manrose en otros puntos de conexión y seguía sin funcionar. Lo devolvimos por defectuoso. Las instrucciones solo vienen en inglés.

Deux warnings : 1. La fonction Timer ne fonctionnera que si vous pouvez tirer jusqu'à l'appareil un fil de phase alimenté en permanence et un fil de phase alimenté via un interrupteur. Pas besoin d'un fil de terre. 2. La documentation est en anglais Rapport qualité-prix tout à fait correct.

Le produit semble de qualité, l'installation est (très) facile. Pour le modèle avec timer, il suffit de brancher le neutre directement, et ensuite le "switched live" sur le fil qui sort de l'interrupteur, et "permanent live" sur le fil qui arrive à l'interrupteur. Le schéma livré sur la notice est très clair. Bon la notice est en anglais, mais honnêtement, c'est super simple. Je l'ai installé hier, rien à dire, il ne fait pas beaucoup de bruit. Je suis satisfait de mon achat !
