Squires Kitchen Sugar Florist Paste White 1Kg (Packaging May Vary)

Great value pack if like me you use a lot of flowerpaste. This is the best product on the market and I wouldn't use any other make. You can easily make really lifelike flowers with a bit of patience and a few tools. It colours well with powdered colours and easy to kneed in your hands without sticking! I tend not to buy any pre-coloured packs, but instead have a good range of blossom tints so I have the flexibility of mixing more subtle colours.

I've been buying this paste for years, now all of a sudden it's packaged in a different format making it more awkward to use and to save if there is any spare. What is the reason for this?

holds its shape well and easy to work with. It does take some needing to get it workable but worth it

I always buy from you.... but unfortunately this time.... the product has changed and the quality is not the same. Therefore, unlikely going to purchase again. High star rating because I have always been very satisfied with this product. I'm just disappointed that i will now need to find another place to buy from 😔

always use this brand good value for money in a 1kg pack. Ideal if you have specific flowers to colour improves when a little trex is kneaded into the paste prior to rolling and cuting

I have used this flowerpaste for many years now and would recommend it. I like it because it dries off a bit faster than some other flowerpastes. Oh and I always open the bottom of the packet so that I can seal it more easily by folding the foil over and securing with 2-3 rubber bands to keep the air out.

Very disappointed with this flower paste. I have used Squires Kitchen Flower Paste for years and this paste is completely different. I have checked, and it looks like Squires has been taken over by the company ‘Rainbow Dust’ so I reckon the product has now been changed. It feels like a cheaper product to me. To start with, it arrived in completely unrecognisable packaging which, unlike the previous packaging, does not reseal. The paste is completely different also. My petals used to feel like porcelain when they dried but now they feel like stiff paper, like I could still press them out of shape well after they have dried. If I dropped a petal made with the old petal paste it would break but I don’t think it would happen with this paste!

Ich benutze die Blütenpaste von Squires Kitchen bereits seit ein paar Jahren für meine Tortendekorationen. Anwendung: Filigrane Figuren lassen sich hiermit ebenso gut herstellen wie ausgestochene Buchstaben und Blumen, da die Blütenpaste sehr dünn ausgerollt werden kann. Die Blütenpaste lässt sich sehr gut verarbeiten - einfach gut durchkneten und schon kann es losgehen. Einfärben kann man die Paste am besten mit Farbpasten. Lebensmittelfarben aus dem Supermarkt eignen sich in der Regel nicht zum Färben von Fondant oder Blütenpaste. Da die Blütenpaste relativ schnell trocknet empfiehlt es sich, immer nur kleine Stücke abzutrennen und nicht gebrauchte Paste immer mit Frischhaltefolie abzudecken. Nach dem Aushärten ist die Paste sehr hart. Von daher eignet sie sich vor allem für kleinere Dekorationen. Größere Modellagen sollte man lieber mit Modellierfondant (eine Mischung aus Fondant und Blütenpaste) verwenden, da dieser weicher bleibt und besser mitgegessen werden kann. Aufbewahrung: Aus Kostengründen bestelle ich immer die große Packung mit 1 kg Inhalt. Diese verbrauche ich in der Regel nicht vollständig sofort. Nicht benötigte Paste trocknet - auch in Klarsichtbeuteln - relativ schnell aus und kann dann nicht mehr verwendet werden. Ich friere die Blütenpaste in Gefrierbeuteln in kleineren Portionen ein. So hält sie sich weit über ein Jahr und kann bei Bedarf aufgetaut und wiederverwendet werden. Nach dem Auftauen ist die Paste etwas klebrig und nass, aber wenn man die Paste dann einige Minuten knetet, hat sie wieder die gewünschte Konsistenz. Durch das Einfrieren musste ich seitdem nie wieder übrig gebliebene Paste wegwerfen.

Jai déjà tester d'autres marques comme la renshaw mais c'est vrai que celle ci est géniale, elle est très malléable, ne sèche pas trop vite (a utiliser avec du crisco), le résultat est parfait, j'en suis très contente
