1500 grams is over 3.3 lbs. How does the big one weigh only 2.5 lbs if there is 1500 (3.3 lbs) grams of desiccant in it?

1500gram model description says it's 3.81lbs, the 750gram model is the weight you're describing.

Would this be too big for a gun safe that also contains important documents that is 60"x24"x18" ?

How long can I use it until I have to recharge it

I have a hygrometer in my safe and my room it’s stored in and it saves results for 24hrs. The room was from 37-55% humidity. This dehumidifier keeps my safe anywhere from 38-41% humidity the past couple weeks I’ve used the hygrometer. I bought it exactly 2 weeks ago to the day, just checked it, and the crystals are pink so I need to recharge it. Maybe since I just started using it, the stuff I have in the safe has some moisture in it so possibly it had to work a little harder to get it drier. I’m hoping to get more than 2 weeks out of this in the future.

How do you the Plastic center piece of to put in the oven?

Put it in oven at 250-300c for four hours. The plastic see through cap will not melt. I recharged mine three times now.
