That's a polite way of putting it, not fit for purpose and shouldn't be on sale. They replaced the first one because the screws holding the battery compartment wouldn't turn, same with the replacement (we had the right screwdriver but tried all sorts and the screws are firmly stuck). Second time they just said return it then which I did but they never refunded. Got the original one working by breaking the battery cover and taping them in and it's so weak it wasn't worth the time or effort.

Manual - but do not buy this. It's genuinely the single biggest waste of money - you can get a decent strobe light from B and M or similar for around the £10 mark if it's for Halloween. This is absolute tat if you ever manage to get it working (which I had to break open the battery compartment to do)
