(OTODEX) Veterinary Ear Drops 14ml

My 7yr old cavapoo has suffered with fungal infections (just in 1 ear) all his life, we have had antibiotics (not cheap) and tried other remedies but nothing worked more than a few weeks. So I am amazed at these. Only complaint is hard to see 3 drops go into a dogs ear when you have to put it in but I guessed. Initially the wax was ooozing out I had to clean them daily as it was thick on the inside flaps of his ears, this got better after a few days but I went in with ear buds and it was black coming out, which Ive never seen before when Ive tried to clean his ears. Strangely the house has stopped smelling "doggy" which was getting strong no matter what we tried to cover the smell so it must have been coming from the fungal ears, which the vet said it can spread to their skin if not treated (when they flogged me antibiotics that worked then it came back a month later!) I can happily buy this as soon as it starts to reappear at this price. He actually smells nice all the time- bonus.

I have a rescued Siberian Husky, who through something his previous owners did to him, has a permanently bent damaged ear, it's a bit like a cauliflower ear in a person, very thick gristle, gets very dirty, prone to ear infections, he was always shaking his head and trying to scratch it and it stinks! On recommendation of the vet we had been using Epi-Otic ear cleaner, which is quite invasive as you had to squirt it in the ear, then push cotton wall in there to clean all round it & it also made his ear go all flaky. But, after reading the reviews on here about Otodex I thought I'd give it a try, and I have to say this stuff is fantastic, even after the first 4 drops the smell had improved, we did a couple of drops every other day for a week and now we just put 4 drops in once a week/10 days. Been using it quite a few months now and the smell has virtually gone, there have been no ear infections, the ear inside is looking so clean, you can tell he's feeling better. This is by far the best product we have used, and is a bargain at the price compared to others that the vets recommend. I can't rave about this enough, give it a try!

Ear cleanser. It's quite good, I always make sure I've got one of these products in case needed..as I have several indoor cats. The product is small so cat can't can't see it in your hand, I prefer a larger bottle because you can't see how much you're using.That's just my preference.

Bought for my dog as he was scratching and shaking his head, symptoms subsided within a few days and he was back to his happy self!

These drops work really well, but the smell is very pungent and my dog won't let me near him with them unfortunately. Previously I used them on him when he was a puppy (put them in when he was asleep) and they did clear up the ear itching / smell

Only been a few days and my dog has stopped shaking his head Seem to be working Thank you to everyone who left replies to my question, I asked how often it was to be applied, unfortunately a large label was put over the instructions on the back of the pack. Happy with the progress so far I think the smell is quite nice.

My dachshund has had problem ears since we got him, he is now 2 years old and we are still fighting with one ear in particular. He has a brownish substance which builds up and i have had vets ear drops for him which did help temporarily but I had to keep re applying. His ear problem worsened recently and his ears were becoming crusty and his hair was falling out poor thing. I have been back and forward to the vets with various things as i have 2 dogs and you know how the costs can mount up. After reading reviews I tried these and have found them very good. They seem to have worked better than the vets ear drops as the black gunk has actively moved up the ear canal where I have been able to clean it out. I have applied 3 or 4 drops each day for around a week and am now seeing the redness much reduced and the outer ear much less crusty. The spots on the inside of his ears are reducing and he appears much more comfortable. He actually lies still while I put the drops in, I think he finds them soothing. I do like the smell but i don't think it's necessary for them to have such a strong fragrance as I imagine it tastes bad for the animal when it runs down the back of their throat. Other than that I have been very impressed with these drops. His ears are looking clean and are returning to their lovely soft and smooth selves. I am also applying 'stinky stuff' to the outer ear to soothe and moisturise so this is likely to be helping the healing process too.
