Do you have to use all three baskets, even if you only want a bowl of rice?

I only use 1 basket the bottom one, and put little bowl inside basket and rice is always perfect

It says the baskets are marked 1, 2 and 3. Is it only number one that will fit the base or will all 3 fit the base individually?

Only number one will fit the base. They're slightly tapered so that they rest on each other. It's the other way round when you put it away - they all nest inside each other with 3 being the widest! The lid fits all 3.

Could anyone confirm the depth of each of the baskets?

each of the basked is inside 6 cm (you might need a converter if you dont uses cm = centimeters)
