A 15cm ribbon cable is included but that can easily be changed for a longer one if required.

Does this fit in the official Pi Zero case?

Yes it does, I have mine connected in the CA case and it fits very well.

The Raspberry Pi v2.1 Camera Module is compatible with any model of Raspberry Pi.

Is the image produced the correct way round as a previous camera I purchased had the image flipped horizontaly?

The image is not flipped. Works fine. If the software is any good you should be able to flip the image on your previous camera ( if you still have it). But if the one you get is flipped and you can't then return it as that shouldn't be the case
