Excellent and comfortable neck warmer.
This neck warmer is an excellent quality product. It heats up in the microwave very nicely. The Heating Pad is is soft and easily stays in place. It is long enough to require little effort to hold around your neck and is not heavy in weight. Very effective and holds temperature well. There is an initial scent which is not bad (actually pleasant) at all but dissipates over time. Highly recommend this product.

Perfect to help neck and shoulder pain
Love it!! I have been meaning for years to get a new one and this exactly what I was looking for. The pattern is pretty and soft, the heat is wonderful, and very convenient with the handles. Highly recommend!!!!

Love the handles
Overall, this is a quality item. It is soft to the touch and holds heat for a long time. It works well in providing relief for more of an ache than an actual pain. However, there were two things that were not so good. First, upon opening, it has a pretty bad smell. I ended up having to put it outside for two days. Second, heating it in the microwave for 2 minutes (as directed in the instructions) is too long. This made it too hot. I would recommend 90 seconds, maybe 100. What is very nice about this heating pad are the two handles. You can push one through the other and it does a fantastic job of holding the heating pad in place.

Excellent product for sore muscles
Youโre very happy with the product because it is soft and lays flat. Other products such as this in the past have been very hard and will not lay flat so this works great on our backs. Only 90 seconds in the microwave and the temperature is perfect.

The Smell Is Terri
My mom has two of these... one was grey that she bought herself, the other was the lavender that we got for her as part of a gift. She loves them sooo much and uses them at least once daily, but the lavender ones smells soooooo awful. It was funky when we received it, so I let it air out a few days. Now, the smell is the burnt popcorn/electrical fire smell other people are mentioning. Her much older grey one doesn't smell at all. But this new lavender one reeks... and the smell permeates through her clothes, the fabric on the couch or her chair, and the house in general. So, while the wraps do provide her with a lot of comfort, the smell is ruining the house vibes so she needs to get a new one. Just be cautious if you are sensitive to smells/scents. Other things are that she likes the weight and feel of the wrap, how portable it is, how effective it is at targeting and easing her pain, and how there's never any sticky or leaky moisture content. Worth the money for relief, but definitely a smelly price we all have to pay.

Working well so far (tips for heating)
The longer shape is great for neck therapy while doing other things. In general, I prefer the ThermiPaq clay pads (they get hotter and they last longer), but the only long one they make has clay beads instead of the "mushy" clay, which isn't as effective. I find this product gives more heat and lasts longer than the clay beads. I experience neck pain and have been using this almost daily for a few weeks. I like it, and it doesn't smell like lavender (or anything else), which is a big plus. A few thoughts: 1. HAVE A MICROWAVE NEARBY. This holds its heat relatively well, but if you want constant *high* heat you'll need to reheat it every 15 minutes or so. 2. USE A PLATE OR CLOTH WHEN HEATING. Don't get it dirty, and especially not greasy. That will create problems when heating. 3. FLIP DURING HEATING. I see complaints about the seeds inside burning. My guess is they ran the microwave for too long and/or overcooked one spot. The manufacturer recommends 60-90 seconds; I rotate it every 30โ45 seconds (flipping it 90-180 degrees each time) and go closer to 120 seconds to pack a little more heat in. 4. CHECK IT WHEN HEATING. When you flip it every 30 seconds or so, feel across the surfaces. It takes a couple seconds and if any part of it feels *hot* then you're done. If you're not sure, shake the seeds and feel again. Go easy on it, and don't blame me if you burn it โ every microwave is different (I heat this in three different locations with different kinds of microwaves โ no problems so far). 5. SHAKE IT BY THE HANDLES. If you wear this around your neck, the seeds will settle on the ends, in which case you won't get as many seeds in the center (neck!) area as you want do the heating. Fold it in half, hold it by both handles, and give it several gentle shakes. The seeds go back to the center and you'll enjoy more of that heat. When, inevitably, I do burn this one out, I'm going to buy another, and another, and another.

Not Very Heat Resistant : Heat with Caution & Supervised.
I loved this when I first received it, not too long ago. It's soft, lightweight, but weighted just enough. However, it is very heat-sensitive. like TOO heat sensitive for what it needs to be. I had it in my microwave for a little over a minute (1000 watt microwave), and the beads/grains inside melted through the fabric seams on both ends. So the fabric itself is a little too easily damaged by heat. Luckily, I stood there as I heated it up (as everyone should) so I stopped the microwave as soon as I smelled a burning scent. I've had a number of these style heating pads in my life, and this is the first time one has ever almost caught fire.

[Updated] Top Notch Support
[Update] Mel and the UNCN team were incredible and provided me a replacement just days after the original product burst. I have had the replacement product now for 3 weeks using constantly every day due to a pinched nerve in my neck. I couldn't recommend the product more, compared to the other options on Amazon, this covers a larger surface area and the handles are also made of soft material. If you are looking for a heated bean bag, and if any issues do arrise, the company really cares for its customers and is responsive so 100% go for it. ------- [Original post] Item arrived well packaged, is soft and comfortable. Used the item 4 or 5 times on the first day, and while it is not as effective as a hot water bottle, is far more convenient and offers comparable heating and a lovely wrap around the neck. The handles are also a nice touch. Sadly the item burst in the microwave upon the 5th or 6th use so had to return the item.

Good product and useful
Only issue is that the seeds move around too much to make the heat uniform. Not a major problem.

Great product
This is a great heat pad. It's good quality, super soft and comfortable. I warm mine for 1.5 - 1.75 minutes in the microwave. It stays warm for about 10-15 minutes. Very happy with the next day delivery!

heavy duty
I heat in a 700 watt microwave for 3 min; there is no rotator, but that does not seem to be a problem regarding heat distribution; this product is better than the lavender magic bag; I went through 3 of them over the years and they tear because the material is too thin; This bag is tough and should last much longer, I definitely recommend
