How do you replace the batteries?

Find the smallest phillips head you can and unscrew the little screws and you will see the batteries. sometimes you have to take the tape off the side to get to them.

I do not remember...but it is brightest when the strip part lights up. It works well....until it doesn't. I had to change the batteries and that did not last as long. Which is why I got a new one.

I have no idea how many lumens it is, but it is really bright - very helpful light. We have three of these in several places in the house. Perfect for emergency lighting or looking for things in small dark places.
